I got mine (not USB Type-C) since it was first launched last year and I used it daily with adaptive mode. As of last week, it lasted 4.5 hours before it triggered the low battery warning.

Want to ask, i plan to buy a Airpod Pro 2 from someone who claimed new and unopened box. Pictures and Receipts provided.

However the serial says Apple Care activated ending August 2026. Can they but Apple care without opening the box and registering?

Apple Care starts from purchase date, not activation date.

I mean if it is unopened box, the person can still register/activate for AppleCare?

If the AppleCare was purchased together with the device, it gets automatically registered and activated

ask for the serial number and do a quick google search to make sure it's not a clone serial

Serial number checks out right with activated AppleCare.

Hi guys, I have this issue not sure anyone can advise me.

I get my AirPods Pro for my sister birthday on 18th Aug 2024 via a gadget shop in PJ during their warehouse sales.

3 weeks later, my sister told me the AirPods casing cannot hold charge.

Hence, i go check with Apple TRX and apple said the unit already out of warranty. I said impossible since i just get it 3 weeks ago.
According to Apple database, the unit sales date was Sept 2022 and via a shop in singapore.

Then I go back to the gadget shop, the shop already closed for good (all branches also close down)


In this situation, is there nothing else I can do?

Yup, the unit was sealed. Brand new, until my sister refer the unit serial number at Apple site and discovered it is out of coverage.
Go back to the shop , the shop said warranty only cover for 14 days due to their promotion item.
I said how this can be. Hence, I file a dispute to consumer rights.
After follow all the process , the shop no longer operate

I have a feeling it’s a fake unit and comes with an original serial no. It’s a common modus operandi for counterfeit items. They only need to buy one original unit to get the serial no. and print the serial no. onto all of their fake devices. Does it have SIRIM sticker etc.?

How much did you get it for? The sticker should be on the box I think, I cannot recall mine because the box is not with me now.

since 1-2 years ago, fake airpods already started to use real serial number but of course when you check on apple website, the coverage have expires......

if its too cheap at random gadget shop, dont buy, if its too cheap at machines/switch then can buy.....they would not spoilt their reputation by selling fake airpods with real serial number....

Yeah, basically that is why Apple TRX staff saying: only buy from apple authorized center (at that time I don't know if mobile2go shop is not authorized apple reseller )
