I have long suspected Klang is of Thai origin, because there is so many places in Thailand that comes with Klang word. Turns out my suspicion is right. Below is taken from MPAK website:

The origin of the name Klang is from the languageh Mon-Khymer which is "Klong". Klong can be identified as a warehouse like what was stated by C.O. Blagden that said that Klang became an important Port that has lots of warehouses.

Why is Fraser Hill called Fook Loong Kong?

大山脚 = foot of mountain (mountain base), present day Bukit mertajam, basically just the location where BM town is build

北海 = Northern Sea (present day Butterworth), some source say its from a late Qing document call 槟榔屿游记 = Penang Island travel notes, the note mentions

过海一带英之属境，统归屿辖。共设公堂五：一在北海、一在笨仔牙、一在高淹、一在大山脚、一在武吉淡门”

Cross the sea, a region owned by English, govern under the Island's jurisdiction. 5 courts are established. 1 at the Northern Sea (北海, Butterworth), 1 at BenZiYa (笨仔牙, dont know what is the current location, translation is idiot's teeth), 1 at GaoYan (高淹, translation High Flood, present day Nibong Tebal), 1 at foot of Mountain (大山脚, present day bukit mertajam, 1 at 武吉淡汶 (chinese pinyin of Bukit Tambun)

Those who wanted to go to pahang through the gorge often bought things and rested in the store, because the sign in the store said with the word "福隆", people call the place "福隆港". After that, the canyon and the mountain were collectively referred to by the Chinese name, because the mountain was not named at that time, and in fact the word "港" was not used to call the mountain. According to historical records, 文良港 existed in 1862, when it belonged to a mining area in the northeastern district of kuala lumpur. It was only formed as a mining town in about 1880.

光前村 (former 南益 rubber factory) is a new village developed in the later period of this mining town. there is a river here called "双溪柏龙岗" (sungai belongkong).

"文良港" is the homophonic place name in the hokkien dialect (southern min - minnan) for “柏龙岗”
