大城堡area used to be part of Castlefield Plantation during the British colonial times .. Not sure if this is the origin of this 大城堡name.

I have long suspected Klang is of Thai origin, because there is so many places in Thailand that comes with Klang word. Turns out my suspicion is right. Below is taken from MPAK website:

The origin of the name Klang is from the languageh Mon-Khymer which is "Klong". Klong can be identified as a warehouse like what was stated by C.O. Blagden that said that Klang became an important Port that has lots of warehouses.
