Where does this uC7 sit in the line of Continental tyres? Is it more to handling or comfort/noise? Better than UC6 in what areas?

Also, is this model out in the shops already? I visited a tyre shop just yesterday and they don't have the uC7 listed on their booklet. Only uc6 and CC6.

May i know what are your previous tyres and how is the UC6 an improvement? Just trying to have a benchmark for comparison purposes. Have you tried Goodyear Triplemax 2 or Yokohama Aspec dB ? These are the two tyres I have used before and I'm not sure how will the UC6 compare to these.

Looks like UC7 has much improved handling, moderate improved wet braking and slightly improved dry braking than UC6. Noise and comfort remain the same between UC7 and UC6 as expected (since better handling tyres won't be quieter)

UC7 should be an interesting model. Tyre shops would want to sell all current stock of the UC6 before bringing in the new UC7 unless the UC6 is sold at lower prices.

I actually downgrade from ps4 . Uc6 did ok and enough for my type of driving and more importantly it is very lasting and more gentle on my wallet haha

That's good to know. As the size of the tyres of my vehicle is high profile (205 60R16), performance tyres could not be considered so there is no opportunity to try pS4 or the likes. Having said that, similarly like you I find all my previous and current tyres to be perfectly adequate in terms of handling, braking and wet performance. I value both performance and noise/comfort so a good balance between the two is more important than outright performance. Also, I don't drive fast as if I'm racing in the race tracks so that plays a part as well.

From few reviews on YouTube, the UC6 was said to be not very lasting due to soft rubber. One video by a guy from Sarawak suggested that it only lasts 12,000 km driven at speeds between 30km/h to 100km/h. Not sure if true as it sounds a bit illogical. Having said that, I have made up my mind to go for the uc7 as my next tyres.

Used previously UC6 on Persona (year 2017) from August 2019 till July 2022 with mileage more than 30K km.
Great tyre for it price range.
My dry speed usually more than 120kmj.
Even in wet, UC6 give me confident to go 110kmj.
I wonder why that guy only manage 12K km.

Right now on Toyo Proxes CR1 because just want to try another brand.
Regret it after 2K km.
Scary in wet even at 80kmj.

Planning to get UC7 when it widely available.

I went to the local tyre shop this morning. The boss mentioned UC7 not available yet as it is mostly available in JB not sure why JB got it earlier than Klang Valley though.
