Hey guys, does changing spark plug on 1st Gen alza improve the fuel consumption.
How to determine when the sparkplug is failing or already bad? |

If you replaced with NGK Iridium IX plugs, it should last around 80k km.How to determine when the sparkplug is failing or already bad? What's your current FC? There are many symptoms of bad/failing spark plugs - https://wilcomotosave.co.uk/tell-tale-signs...-plugs-failing/ This post has been edited by kirakun: Jun 21 2023, 11:00 PM |

Not sure my father has changed before or not. What's your current FC? There are many symptoms of bad/failing spark plugs - https://wilcomotosave.co.uk/tell-tale-signs...-plugs-failing/ One of the symptoms is high fuel consumption. Need to pump like every 1 week. Your alza full tank can last how many km until finish? Mine average 420-450km. This post has been edited by FusionXY: Jun 21 2023, 11:42 PM |

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Jun 22 2023, 08:32 AM) Last time my wife's Alza below 400km per full tank leh. Depends a lot on the foot as well, but based on my experience 420-450 is considered good di. Saw new one above 500 😂Sometimes max until 450 1st Gen Alza. This post has been edited by FusionXY: Jun 22 2023, 09:11 AM |

The new Alza has a 35l petrol tank right cos everytime I pump full tank my meter shows can run up to ~440km at 12.5km/l. |

QUOTE(FusionXY @ Jun 21 2023, 11:35 PM) 129k km now. Not sure my father has changed before or not. That’s pretty good FC u got there. But don’t think there is any issue with your FC. Mine around 400km full city drive. One of the symptoms is high fuel consumption. Need to pump like every 1 week. Your alza full tank can last how many km until finish? Mine average 420-450km. Anyway can’t compare the FC with the new alza. Different engine, different gb and whole different design. If u are worried, just do a major service and follow up from there on. |

Is 12.5km/l for the new Alza considered as good? Travelling mostly in Skudai Johor. If travel on NSE can get 18km/l.Anyway can’t compare the FC with the new alza. QUOTE(FusionXY @ Jun 21 2023, 01:26 PM) Hey guys, does changing spark plug on 1st Gen alza improve the fuel consumption. There are many items that can contribute to bad fuel consumption. How to determine when the sparkplug is failing or already bad? Simple check: 1. Spark plug..take out and check if oily, black and tip runs out. Since you take out plugs.. see thru the hole if very dirty in there.. carbon deposit can be a lot. Use good fuel cleaner or carbon deposit cleaner.. 2. Air filter change if dirty... Quick blow clean if not so dirty 3. Engine oil.. use 5w30 some good and affordable ones. Some EO no good even it is 5w30 4. Check throttle body.. clean it if can 5. Your atf may also check..this may not be one of reasons, but quick check will help. 5. |

QUOTE(dogbert_chew @ Jun 22 2023, 05:13 PM) Bro, yr wife Alza travel how much further after indicator like this? Car was in perodua service center being repaired for 2+ months, was already showing light just before the accident. She pumped it just after getting the fixed car back (probably in testing/QC they have to run engine). She would never let the car petrol get so low one normally.![]() Theoretically, should have 7liter left since P2 indicated tank is 42liters. dogbert_chew liked this post

QUOTE(dogbert_chew @ Jun 25 2023, 11:33 AM) In case everyone thinks Alza is fuel guzzler, I did a 70-30% highway city drive ard 110-120kmh with just a few > 150 overtaking burst past few days. As usual depends on foot. I can't get 15 even with road trip to JB because we were about 130kmh most of the time. Time more important than mileage.![]() ![]() This returns the standard 15km/l figure most of us experience. Anyone tried to hit 20km/l? dogbert_chew liked this post

I yet to hit 20km/l. My latest travel to Alor Setar, mostly 110kph and some reaching 130-140 for overtaking or sports mode, i managed to get 18.3km/L.![]() ![]() This returns the standard 15km/l figure most of us experience.
