Guys wanna ask those got the new Alza, roughly how long you guys waited for the car? I was told waiting is around 4-5months , but some ppl complain till 12months
*
I was initial batch, got it within a month plus. But definitely can't rely on that because i booked on the launch day itself....

that was fast....real fast, did you get to test drive as well ?

I already target this car since start of 2022, can see the old 'new alza' thread where we were discussing it. I placed booking for Aruz on 21st May (to 'chup' place in line, not sure if it helped or not), but the salesman knew my intention is the Alza anyway. On 10th June (initial launch date) I tried to convert the booking to Alza, but Perodua delayed the launch a bit, in the end pricing made available 23 June and my salesman immediately helped me book the car on 23rd June, reconfirmed (just in case) with salesman on 27th June. Finally launch was postponed again to 20th July, I test drove a unit (top spec) on 25th July. Car received (mid spec) 3rd August.

i booked H, but thinking of getting X coz i prefer simple not much tech on the steering wheel
*
I got H for one simple reason - reverse camera. Audio-tainment system/touchscreen isn't great for that purpose, but the reverse camera is so useful.

Steering wheel buttons can be ignored right? I hardly use them (though my wife does audio control often in my observation when she's driving).

ya, my brother's Alza also faced the same problem.. the oil filter issue. But funny is that it happened only after about 3k km after the service... just monitor further.

my alza will go 10k service this coming thursday.

I had the H, same goes to my brother's H spec too. Coming from previous Alza, the steering control buttons works as needed, nothing fancy. AV has a few more buttons for auto cruise etc.

Which Specs, all depends on your needs as well as pocket. H is just nice in between although BSM is a good extra too for safety.

@WhiskeyTango777, best to read thru the manual (in PDF copy) and get used to the car.

Sat in my brother-in-law highest spec Alza several times already during weekend outings to makan2, all the time at the rear 3rd row as the 2nd row was occupied by the baby and senior citizens.

I would have to say the overall quality of the car at this price range is considered to be value for money. In terms of space the 2nd row space is huge with more than enough leg room. Comfortable. The rear 3rd row seats is a bit cramped but can fit 1 person of up to 1.70m height rather comfortably but someone who is taller will find the legroom and headroom to be a bit tight. The rear seats can be adjusted at a more inclined position for better comfort so that you don't need to sit at a more upright position.

The overall NVH of the car is quite good too as it is fairly quiet on the highways and the suspension is not too bad. Quite a soft tuned suspension to absorb the shocks and bumps on the road for comfort. The sound of the suspension can be heard when going above speed bumps but nothing too bad about it.

Haven't had the chance to test drive the vehicle but as a passenger in the last 3rd row, I can give it a thumbs up. The 2nd row would be much more comfortable. My brother in law told me he took the car up to 140km/h highest speed and the car has no issues to reach that speed with little struggle. Not too bad for a family mpv. I guess it can go up to 150km/h which is about the safe limit for vehicles of this class and engine capacity.

Came back to PJ from Cherating pushed my X variant 140-150kmh for more than half the journey, didn't exceed 4000 rpm mileage still below 10K.

The 2NR-VE Myvi engine 105 hp @4,200 rpm should push our Alza to max ard 160kmh only.

To be able to maintain 130-140km/h consistently is good enough for a vehicle in this class as it's a good speed for the highways. Good to know it can hit 150km/h consistently too.

overall weak point is hi speed aerodynamics

I already replied to you previously this question...

On aerodynamics, definitely don't like this car for >130, feeling is not good and secure. Also when I'm bringing this car my whole family is together in it so I wouldn't be speeding so much as well anyway.
