How the real world performance vs old m1 mba...
Cos the m2 mba cost 5.4~5.5k...for base model..

Look at the M1 8-core CPU, 8-Core GPU 512GB, I think that is a good machines. RM5,399...slightly bad camera, older chip...but more storage.

is the macbook air m2 is better than the pro m2? coz spec wise, almost identical.

And the macbook air consider price increase? old model still same price?

Better camera, newer design, but smaller storage if compared with the 8 Core GPU M1 MBA.

The "base" model is a 2 years old model... expect it going to be dropped at reduce price.

No one should buy the m2 MBP seriously.

I don't think they were lazy. I think they put it there so we can justify the increased MBA m2 price by comparing to the MBP 13 m2

If it didn't exist, we will be focused on saying the MBA m2 increased in price - by right it should be $999, replacing the M1 MBA. But instead, they kept the pricing across the board and increased their profit margin.

And you can see it is working, nobody said MBA m2 is expensive lol, when it actually is. MBA has always had an entry price of $999 until now.

You look at iPhone product pricing
when new one come out, it will take the original price, and the old one take a price cut.

Anyway this is genius of Apple. And given the chip shortage, I guess they have no reason to price it cheap!

No justification for having an MBA M1, a two year old lappy to be still selling at the same price when it was first released. It is not about our lousy currency as well cause the price in the US remains the same....
