QUOTE(vearn27 @ Mar 7 2008, 11:25 AM) Lets put aside the cost wise and say it can be a fair trade with no lose on my Q6600. Here is my 2cent:I think Q6600 is better because of 9x multi.Q9450 with 8xmulti should be hard to oc and mobo don't like Quad Core high FSB,470 is as high as what it can go so ~3.8ghz is already hard enough so i think Q6600 is a better buy but 45nm SPI time is fast Does Q9450 worth and performs better than Q6600? Technology wise it should for Q9450 being the native Quad from Intel than Q6600 is a combination of 2x Core 2 Duo on the processor. 6MB extra cache and 45nm process. Downside wise, being 8x multiplier instead of 9x. Only extra 260MHz at stock clock and unknown overclocking ability. |

well those alreayd have q6600 dun find it's quite worth the trouble to get a Q9450, most q6600 can hit 3.6ghz easily while upgrade means u try to get something above that too like 4 ghz may be. to hit 4ghz, ur 45nm proc need to run at 500mhz fsb is most likely hard to achieve.
May be this is intel marketing startegy, force buyer to fock out more to get QX series instead. well may be we shall wait for q9650 instead hehe, like QX6700 become q6700 |

QUOTE(naq_saviola @ Mar 9 2008, 01:47 AM) hmm.. tody my fren wnt buy e8400 at lwyt, Not enough production I suppose. Actually if you compare E8200 VS E6750, the speed is almost about the same unless you're running some cache intensive programs. Overclockability wise, it'll be the E8200 so all in all, only 2 advantages but most shop sellng it in comp set, some no stock.. why ha? its market trick? |

Provided I will no lose-gain by trading my Q6600 and Q9450... should I do it? My Q6600 pretty good one as I only need 1.2375 VCore to run 3.2GHz (400x8)
Native quad, extra 4MB cache and 45nm process... |
