Yes. All the while working for in-house secretarial department.

You actually learn a lot more than working in secretarial firms as PLC experience is really important.

Job Title : Assurance Associate
Job Desciption : basic audit stuff
Age : 23
Years spent in company : just started (0)
Company : Audit company
Industry : Audit/Acc
Tenure : Permanent
Employment Level : Associate level/entry level
Experience before joining (years) : 0 (6 months internship at MNC)
Highest paper qualification/ education background : Bachelors Degree
Location : KL
Average Working Hours Per Week (incl lunch hours): 45 (maybe slightly different once engagements start rolling in).

Monetary Payout
Basic Salary + Fixed Allowance : RM3,400 +130 allowance
Contractual Bonus (months): N/A
Performance, Variable Bonus & Commissions (months) : N/A

Work Flexibility (where relevant) : Flexi working hours + can WFH depending on team
Work From Home Availability: Depends on manager and rest of team
Annual Leaves: 14 days
Flexi Working Hours : Partial - if client wants you to be on at specific time then have to. otherwise can flex

I'll be honest, I took this job because it was the highest paying and most convenient for me initially, but right now I'm thinking it might have been a mistake. I don't have the audit mindset, and maybe I should have opted for lower pay but more job satisfaction. We'll see how it goes though. I feel like I should try at least one busy season and if I can't handle it I'll leave.

RM 3.4k for Fresh Graduate is slightly higher than Previous years, Perhaps they do have some restructuring going on (If PWC).

Well, the allowance part is kind of low in compare with the other big 4 but still you are getting almost the highest paid in Audit industry (For Fresh Graduate).

Some audit firm outside (Small and Medium), offer from RM 2,500 to RM 3,000.

Anyhow, you just join into Audit industry, perhaps after a few months of working, you could understand the purpose of audit and how you could gain exposure from that. thumbup.gif

Yeah, the fact is that, the Demand for Managerial Position is always in the Critical Occupations list.

https://www.talentcorp.com.my/clients/Talen...eport_FINAL.pdf

Therefore people are much more willing to pay for those position.

By acquiring years of experience, knowledge and exposure, there is always a chance for candidate to promote into managerial post. (Cross Finger, might depend on the Company that the person work with as well, larger size of Corporate do have more opportunity to promote as compare with SME).

In a digitalized world we live in today, I think it's getting more common and no longer a thing to shout about.

Tons of people around me are making >10k, and born after 1990..

i notice that IT tech field salary has gone up significantly after Covid pandemic

before pandemic eg 2020 I had an interview with TnGD, I only put up an expected of 8k for a DevOps engineer

in that same year through other interviews of similar cloud roles, even for Snr role I expect just 10k also couldn't get it, until last year (2021) i got the senior engineer role for 10k

not really sure the market suddenly adjusted on its own only since the beginning of this year?

but cukurr now I am getting 11k for just a middle level engineer (non senior non lead)

Covid really helped transform this field to be more valuable than O&G laugh.gif
