Hey guys, i wonder if they really mean it when they say the 30Mbps package is limited to only 2 devices. Cuz i definitely have way more than 2 such devices.
*
not a hard cap on number of devices.
just that, under "normal human" level of concurrent consumption, that speed is nice for 2 concurrent devices. maybe 3 will get people complaining a bit about lag. 100 people use at same time will definitely bury you under.

Hi, want to ask you guys who managed to get SWU 2.0. What should we get in the package?

Plan : 300Mbps at RM129
- New Wifi 6 Router (which brand?)
- FOC 6 months?
- Does it include Mesh?
- Does it include free calls?
- What is the call rates?
- Does it include Disney+ or other streaming services?
- unifi username, password & phone number still the same?
- can still add onn Unifi TV / UPB later?

If request public IP, our IP address will be the same everytime we start the router?

static public IPv4 is for business accounts.
not for residential accounts.

you'll get random public IPv4 anyhow.
the difference is whether you'll get a random IPv4 slapped exclusive 1-to-1 onto your router for your own exclusive advantage (hosting lah, what else?) during the PPPoE session, or do you have to jump through CGNAT hoops and loops to use a random IPV4 shared 1-to-many other users.

So, this random public IPv4 is given automatically out of the box, or need to request? Request via chat or walk in?

I request for it.My package was 100Mbps under CGNAT.It took about a month for them to change me from cgnat to public ip,which technician came to our house to validate my need of public ipv4(dynamic).
That was only reason i request to port out from unifi to maxis.Unifi counter offer with unifi swu 2.0 basic,so i accespt it since they will give me public ipv4 if I stay with unifi.

Ip address will be change if you left router longer than 30mins.(this is what i experianced).

Request by phone call,(transfer to port out confirmation, unifi will call for confirmation of port out, during this session, they offer me this package to me),which i explicitly demand public ip4.
Unifi technician will came to the house to check validation of public ipv4 need.

Stay With Unifi. Non-public plan that unifi will offer to those opting out to other telco fibre (Contract already ended).

the D-Link ONR for Gigabit subscriptions?

do you know the (i) phone number (can check in unifi portal listing your subscription detail) and (ii) password?

you can fill it up on the Wizard page; it will do the rest of the configuration on VoIP pages.
Check my post #6002 in this thread if you still want to make yourself tired by filling the VoIP pages manually.

AND, make sure you have pre-existing PON Connection 2 (for vlan400/Voice) is untouched.

For most, you don't need public IP. But for those who're running some kind of services/servers from home, you need it. Previously, most CCTVs that have recorder, you need public IP in order to access them from outside your network but most newer CCTVs, they're on cloud already. If you don't know what public IP and why you need it, then I guess you don't really need it smile.gif

Since you dont know why do you need one,i guess you dont need one.

Unifi will come to your house to validate your reason, with my network setup. They bring the need to upper stages(to netwrok enginner as i was told by them) before giving one out.

This is my experiance, maybe differ on other area.

It's just a recommendation on how many users is this plan suitable for
But honestly they put a low number to upsell you on the higher speed plans
