We should post replies to that tweet of his and retweet to others.
He needs to be reminded of his promise.

Six states – Kedah, Kelantan, Penang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Terengganu – will hold elections after June.

https://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/...ns-says-bersih/

this administration will announce UNIFI's speed upgrades in June.
*
What is needed (and promised) is lower overall costs.
(meaning lower monthly subscriptions and not simply increasing speeds at current rates)

MRSP is confirm taking place but rather than reducing their price and loosing their profits and margin, they rather provide speed upgrade to sustain the profit.
*
QUOTE(bugipunch @ Jun 9 2023, 07:24 PM)
lol. I dont need higher speed. I want to maintain speed at cheaper price. U kasi me 2gbps also no point since max can go 1gbps only.
*
I always suspected we'd get speed upgrade from MSAP 2023 wholesale cost reduction rather than lower subscription rate.
I wonder if the speed upgrade will cover the B40 Unity fibre package?
I doubt it.

So, can we expect:-
30Mbps (Unity package) - RM69
100Mbps - RM89
300Mbps - RM129
etc, etc?

QUOTE(MyProLife @ Jun 9 2023, 11:31 PM)
like what i proposed b4

Unifi should have several tiers for package

Unifi Home Broadband

100m 89
300m 129
500m 159

*
But not lowering the cost of the entry level package
RM79 for 50Mbps would be very nice.
I wonder what the other ISPs will offer.

If friends are using your Plex server then they can surely make contribution towards your internet expenses. laugh.gif

Still need wavier on current contract if new contract? I thought if got new contract TM won't penalty anything.

I plan to get the 30 Mbps and get rid of 100 Mbps that is still in contract.
*
Wait till they update the package speed or prices due to MSAP 2023 wholesale price reduction.
It is way overdue for update.
ISPs like Unifi are just dragging their feet.

Received call from TM today, promoting new package upgrade from 30m-RM89+  to  100m-RM99+, is it worth? Read that there's free upgrade rolling out soon,  Im on landed unit.
*
Big question is... Is the 100/RM99 the expected upgrade or can you expect a further free speed increase later?

Original Tweet

QUOTE(Mazda9 @ Jun 9 2023, 11:26 AM)
.....
While replacing my BTU, initiated conversation with the technician,  he mentioned TM have been quietly contacting selected customer to perform free upgrade to 2GBPS for current 800 mbps package subscriber before the mass rollout free upgrade  announcement.

MRSP is confirm taking place but rather than reducing their price and loosing their profits and margin, they rather provide speed upgrade to sustain the profit.

He also said, some TM point the moment 800mbps customer walks in to terminate, they will offer 2GBPS free upgrade plan.

Just sharing as per what was shared with by TM technician 30 mins ago.
*
I guess this mean those on lowest package (RM89) will have no jalan to lower their monthly internet expenditure

Gobind the lawyer put a firm date for implementing double the speed, half the price program
Fahmi Fadzil the writer, actor left the implementation deadline open-ended so naturally the ISPs took full advantage of it to maximise revenues and profits.

FYI, the MSAP 2023 took effect on 1st March 2023

Even 100mbps is more than enough if for small household with a few devices. Eventually, whether you get free speed upgrade or lower price, it's a saving.
*
If ISPs only offer speed increases, those already on higher speed packages can re-contract to same speed but at lower prices (it's really lower speed getting speed upgrade) but those on the cheapest package (ie RM89) will get no savings if the only option is a speed upgrade..

Then 100M should be RM69 or max RM79?

I will downgrade to 100M then, more than enough for me
*
QUOTE(westlife @ Jun 22 2023, 07:28 PM)
no. rm89 is the cheapest plan now for 30Mbps. u cannot get anything cheaper than rm89.
*
Unity fibre package (B40) is currently RM69 for 30Mbps so @coolguy_0925 you can't get 100Mbps for RM69 because then nobody (meaning the qualified) will want the Unity package! smile.gif

I would love to see a 50Mbps for RM79 though.
But if it's 50 or 100 for RM89 then I'd take the Unity package for RM69 (Yes, I sadly qualify blush_ani.gif )

Actually I'm beginning to wonder if this is really the post-MSAP 2023 pricing or just the new Unifi TV price that was launched 23 June (the same day @aniq8676 posted this "new" price list)?

No additional cost, for now there is no official announcement regarding this upgrade.

The free upgrade is still in trial for some 800Mbps customers.
