If you don't have any channel/show that you want to watch that is only available on unifi tv, buying a DVB-T2 decoder/antenna is a better choice
Good picture quality, not affected by weather or connectivity issue, some channels that are not available in unifi tv

Dear Friends. I have a question about my unifi broadband. I have the 800mbps package and using the Router provided by Tm. However wifi max speed is only 300 mbps. Will changing my router to wifi 6e router improve my wifi speeds or is it capped to 300 mbps no matter what ?..Appreciate some feedback. Thanks

Just now i bought a Cat 6 cable 30m. My main router wifi 6 is at living room ground floor. So, i pulled the cable up to level 1 and made my old router becoming AP. The speed is same as ground floor. However, the cabling looked horrible. Yes, mesh might be expensive but cosmetic wise, it will make your whole house becoming neat and nice without ugly lan cable crawling here and there.

- free replacement wifi6 router
- free 6 months bills waiver
- free call (no replacement phone)
- no TV pack.

Without Maxis TR ID. Just tried my luck by showing them what Maxis could offer. Contract ended few years back.

Cause the mesh you are using is not fast enough. You need to really overspec your mesh WiFi to get optimal speed.

Take a dual-band WiFi 6 AX1800 mesh system as example, the maximum capacity is 1200Mbps on 5GHz.

Maximum attainable speed on mesh node is half of the capacity due to WiFi retransmission = 600Mbps

Factor in around 50% signal loss over 2 walls = 300Mbps

Factor in another 20% lost due to various inefficiencies = 240Mbps

You can apply this formula to get a rough estimation of the speed you can get on the mesh node of your mesh WiFi system.

When you want to buy a dual-band mesh WiFi system, just multiply the 5GHz backhaul speed by 20% to get a rough estimation of the maximum speed you can get on the mesh node.
