Using my backup router
*
Sorry man, no idea what's going on. I dunno why the prefix (from your router's screenshot) is different for the router's IPv6 and advertised LAN IPv6. And why the IPv6 prefix received by your devices is also different?

This is what I have in mine.
user posted image

For this example:
2001:e68:5428:3ba6::/64 is the prefix I recv from TM via DHCPv6
2001:e68:5428:3ba6::1/64 is my router's IPv6 address
2001:e68:5428:3ba6::/64 is the prefix advertised to my LAN

My devices will get, for example, my Mac mini:
% ifconfig en0 | grep 2001
inet6 2001:e68:5428:3ba6:18d6:b4b2:cb7d:f57d prefixlen 64 autoconf secured
inet6 2001:e68:5428:3ba6:f020:760a:6927:aa1 prefixlen 64 autoconf temporary

my PC:
> netsh interface ipv6 show addresses | findstr 2001
Temporary Preferred 6d23h48m47s 23h48m37s 2001:e68:5428:3ba6:29b5:45aa:3bd3:f632
Public Preferred 29d23h56m59s 6d23h56m59s 2001:e68:5428:3ba6:bca5:11ce:8c78:28c4

You can see that the prefix 2001:e68:5428:3ba6 is consistent.

For IPv6 LAN, SLAAC+Stateless DHCP is the correct setting for TPLink.

One more thing, ensure that your PPPoE client is requesting prefix and not address. Not sure if there's such a setting in TPLink.

Credit Limit is usually 2.x times the monthly bill.
Thank you for your continuous support towards TM’s products and services.

We wish to inform that your account has been assigned with A NEW CREDIT LIMIT to suit your communications needs.

In line with this new Credit Limit implementation, the following actions will be carried out on your account:

1. Credit Limit Notification will be sent out via SMS & Email once your usage reaches or exceeds 80% and 100% of your Credit Limit

2. Credit Limit Suspension will be imposed when your usage reaches or exceeds 100% of your Credit Limit

3. Upon suspension, Credit Limit Notification will be sent out to inform that your services have been suspended
*
From what I know, that credit limit - I think it's shown in the Unifi bill just below the date - is not for the monthly Unifi subscription charges. It's more for usage charges like phone calls or PlayTV VOD.

I remember a few years back when my account was suspended, the amount past due for 1.5 months was still below my credit limit.

Guys, anyone know what does this means?

2021-12-31 00:21:01 PPP WARNING [6187] ppp receive PAP AuthNak MaxSessions exceeded

I cannot connect to the internet since yesterday.
Thanks
*
Seems like your previous pppoe session is stuck. Either that or someone else is using your login.

If the former, just call TM to reset.

When you call TM to reset, did you check with them if your login is connected? Quite possible that someone is using your login.

Yep. Already received the wifi 6 router.
I got DLink X1860Z. I think customize lite version for unifi.
Retail version doesn't have Z prefix and different shape.

But dem.. the router doesn't have holes for mounting.. 🤦😒
*
Have you used the X1860Z? How is it? I tried the Zyxel EX3220-T0 which was pretty good and firmware seems quite complete. Wonder if the X1860Z is crippled in any way compared to the non-Z retail version.

Can you find a manual for it? Can share a screenshot of the Mesh config page? Or is it the same as the non-Z retail version?

QUOTE(Max @ Aug 30 2022, 09:56 AM)
according to my updated service details. (300mbps Yep2019)
its stated 12m tenure (maybe for user still under contract will be 24m)  unsure.gif
Promo Discount Perpetual still there.
*
Where do you see the Promo Discount Perpetual ? I can't find it any more on the Unifi portal.

My English no good maybe can you guys help me to read whether they agreed to remove the hyppTV or not?

Please be informed that your report (1-5518090xxxx) in Tmpoint action. Thus, your patience and understanding is highly appreciated.
Through the revisions that have been carried out, order no. 1-5527844xxxx to Modify - remove RM30 HyppTV and the purpose of the adjustment is still in the action of TMpoint.
*
I don’t think it’s your English that is the problem. Seems like they are saying that the order is still in progress.

Hi, i signed up for my unifi package in Nov 2020, but added on mesh wifi (24 months payment) in Feb 2021.

If i try to change ISP after Nov 2022 to try and get SWU promo, will they charge me penalty since my mesh wifi is still payable until Feb 2023? Anyone gone through something like this before?

Alternatively i will just get the 300mbps RM169 or free 24 months D+H package.

Edit: Currently paying RM189 for 300 mbps + normal TV pack. Also heard if get SWU promo they give 6 months free?
*
Better you check with TM. When I bought addon RM15 Deco mesh in May 2020, they told me specifically that the 2 years for the mesh is separate from Unifi’s contract.

what is the monthly fee for 800mbps(turbo boost). this is the plan that adjusted price after election 1 right?
*
It varies. I'm paying RM159. 800Mbps RM99 + Ultimate Pack RM60. Also includes STD20.

Someone here managed to change Ultimate to Ruby so minus RM30 to RM129. Also got ppl on RM139 and RM149. Unsure how they arrived at that figure.

Just saw that speedtest.net results something wrong.

Like this Speedtest that I did in 2017 now points to another Speedtest in 2012.

I have D-Link DVG-F2452 router given by TM for 100Mbps connection. I also just bought Deco X50 and tried to setup mesh wifi but speed and ping seems to be lagging a bit and old devices like iPhone 7 and 6S having trouble connecting to the mesh and opening Whatsapp and Youtube.

So I tried to setup Deco X50 as AP by connecting to the router via ethernet (following this guide) but failed to setup after a few times trying. Any tips on how to solve issues I'm facing?
*
Will be better if you remove the DLink and use the X50 as the router as well as AP. If 5Ghz 160Mhz channel width is enabled, try turning it off. I’ve no problem with Deco X20 and iPhone 6s.

Anyone know how to set google DNS for unifi X1860Z router? Not through PC or phone, set in the router
*
Try in WAN Connection page on your router, set DNS1 and DNS2 to Google's for your PPPoE connection.

Tak access router configuration u need to use the webui which can be accessed via browser from phone or pc at 192.168.0.1
There is no way to acess them without another gadget lo afaik
*
What I think he means is that he wants to set DNS on the router instead of setting it on the PC or phone. Not that he don’t want to use PC or phone to configure the router.

Most pc and router now 1gbps, what the point got 2gbps plan? Only some highend pc got 2.5g port
*
Not really. Even my mid range (~RM550) B660M motherboard have 2.5Gb ethernet port. My Mikrotik RB5009 router, around RM900 also has 2.5Gbe and add RM200 for 10Gbe SFP+. Mac mini M1 from last year also can be configured with 10Gbe port. If nothing else, you'll need 2.5Gbe ports to get full speed out of wiif6.

TM really fucked up their discounts. Different ppl get different type of discounts especially during the gobind era. It’s quite unfair. Probably TM should start introducing new packages at fixed rates (like TIME does) and phase out legacy packages with inconsistent discounts.
*
Agreed, during Gobind's free Turbo upgrade, most ppl got 10x speed upgrade, I only got 8x. But still grateful.

Initially my unifi 300mbps bill was discounted up to RM75 due to an error in the TM system.

don't worry, I pay exactly the same official price as per listed from tm website rolleyes.gif

not like someone who so lucky get to enjoy some special offer.
*
Just lucky to take the available offers at the appropriate time. And, of course, thanks to the Unifi threads here. I paid RM0 to go from 30 to 50, After that it was RM10 from 50 to 100 and again RM0 from 100 to 800.

At its peak, I was paying RM179 for 30Mbps, RM189 for 100Mbps, now RM159 for 800Mbps.

That's over a period of 2 years. Kinda difficult to plan for it. Who knows? Yours might be the start of something good that culminates in 4Gbps. Then we'll all be envious of you.
