Same here

30Mb/s @ RM179
Recontract to:
50Mb/s @ RM179
Recontract and increase RM10 to:
100Mb/s @ RM189
Turbo Upgrade to:
800Mb/s @ RM189

How did you get 800Mb/s @ RM159 anyway? Did you terminate UniFi TV?
*
Kind of. At 50Mbps RM179, I had Ruby pack. The RM10 upgrade, as you already know, increased it to 100Mbps and also gave Ultimate pack. I ended up with 2 HyppTV packs. RM60 for Ult and RM30 for Ruby.

It was like this for 1 or 2 months then TM suddenly - I didn't ask for it - removed the Ruby pack. That's how it became RM159.

Speaking of being fair to all users, ya.  In your dream.

They even are being discriminate in their so called promotion/offer.

For example, their latest Unifi TV Ultimate pack promo.

https://unifi.com.my/tv/plans/ultimate-pack

RM49.90 per month. Sounds good right?  Wait. read the TnC first.

https://unifi.com.my/tv/sites/default/files...-1sept22_v5.pdf
Apparently, the cheaper pack RM49.90 is only available to 100Mbps and below customers. The 300Mbps and above customers can only choose the RM59.90 pack. Also, if the 300Mbps and above customers want to get this new Ultimate pack, they have to upgrade their internet plan as well. What the hell!? Why the advanced users cannot choose the cheaper package? Somemore they have to upgrade their plan as well in order to get this so called "promotion". Does TM think that all advance users are super rich and don't mind to pay extra?

At first I thought I would consider this new promotion. After reading the TnC, I changed my mind.

After so many years, TM doesn't change at all. Still a bloodsucker.
*
Confused about this. Is the new RM59.90 package same as the RM60 Ultimate package that some of use already have?

those that were already on Ultimate RM59.90 prior to current promotion only have total 5 streaming apps.
those that took current Ultimate RM59.90 gets total 8 streaming apps.

my oct2021 500Mbps RM249 w/ Ultimate RM59.90 but only get 5 streaming apps, which is equivalent to current 500Mbps @ RM239 w/ Ultimate RM49.90.

current promo 500Mbps RM249 w/ Ultimate RM59.90 on the other hand gets the full 8 streaming apps.

Weird, I don't have Disney+.
Only have BBCPlayer, SPOTV, beIN, iQiyi & Lionsgate which I activated when the streaming apps first came out before the Disney+ deal.

Switch options only have Viu, Zees, Simply South, WeTV & MangoTV.

it's probably a case of micro-customer segmentation.

Disney+ is the most valuable, they probably dun give u due to yr low package price.

i had lionsgate+iqiyi but had to swap for disney+.

not a big deal for me since i can get iqiyi for rm4.99pm as standalone.
double confirmed - u (and me + others) not allowed to improve what we have. biggrin.gif
*
Finally something for us long-time user to complain about.

I think I know why. Maybe it's bcos I didn't activate my Disney+ when it was first available.

https://activate.unifi.com.my/ott/lib/faq/faq.pdf
FAQ 16 Can I switch or change my current streaming app to another of my choice? states:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I have all (a) to (g) as options but no Disney+. I already have Disney+ so didn't attempt to activate Unifi's Disney+ until today.

If I activate Disney+, I'll only have Disney+ Hotstar, BBC Player, beIN SPORTS CONNECT & SPOTV NOW.

So same as you, I will have to sacrifice my currently activated iQiyi and Lionsgate if I want Unifi's Disney+.

They did a good job messing up the Unifi packages, now they've done the same to the PlayTV packages. doh.gif

Those channels in red were offered foc for long term?

BBCPlayer, SPOTV & beIN are fixed. iQiyi & Lionsgate, both have a Switch button. Not sure if long term. I think Lionsgate no more for new subscribers right? Honestly I never pay much attention to their TV packs. Only my wife interested in iQiyi. Me, Disney+, but I already have that.

here's mine. 800mbps RM139. But last time saw someone same package RM129.

This is fantastic. Did you downgrade from Ultimate to Ruby/Aneka/Varnam?

The person with RM129 managed to downgrade from Ultimate to Ruby pack. So RM159 less RM30. I think that was done sometime last year. I tried the same thing this year but was declined by TM. :-( I can’t find back where he posted this.

For mesh wifi (deco m4), shall i tag along with unifi (RM15 per month) or better buy outside which gives 3 years warranty?
*
Dunno if TM is actually giving m4 or hc4. If hc4, buy outside is significantly cheaper. Around RM300.

Don't think it's the hardware cause if I connect with modem-dir842-m4 order, then can get 300mbps from m4
Updated to latest version but still around 250mbps when test, once change back dir842 then get 300mbps, but if connect with modem-dir842-m4 order then can get 300mbps from m4
*
I don't know what's causing your prob but Deco M4 has no problem with 500Mbps provided CTF (Cut Through Forwarding) is on. I didn't test 800Mbps but should be OK too. Of course, wifi will vary.

I just setup a Deco HC4 for my neighbour on Unifi 500/100. Speeds quite good. 300+ is upstairs, 400+ is downstairs. Tested with 1 unit of HC4 direct to modem. Downstairs.

I think AX73 should be able to get more since it's 4x4. Even for 2x2 devices, there will be more 5Ghz antennas for it to choose from for beamforming. Also depends on how many antennas that your devices have.

i have same issue with m5..also on 800 mbps..via router get 300..on m5 get 100..wtf..Reset so many times..update firmware also ask tm reset port..but issue remains
*
Check your cable from the M5 to the router. A consistent 100Mbps usually caused by cable problem not linking at gigabit speeds. M5/M4 performance should be around the same.

Same speeds after switching off 2.4.. Would connecting it direct to btu work better?
*
No difference. If you have a good router then it's better to let the router do the pppoe and Deco as AP. Even then if you're not doing anything fancy at the router there won't be any difference.

I have the same problem with my PC. Only 300+ (slow 140 upload) using wifi and 800 on wired. It's using Intel AX201. Testing with Deco X20. Router is Mikrotik RB5009.

That will defeat the purpose of having mesh system at home. No cable or wire in the house.
*
No, it doesn't. That's the best way to use a mesh system. Failing that, replace the cable with a 3rd radio such as those in the M9 Plus or the X60.

Yes if you cannot do wired backhaul because of double story design, you should get a tri band mesh like this

https://www.tp-link.com/my/home-networking/deco/deco-x68/

X68 is the lowest deco X model to have 3 bands

M9 plus is also can be considered, but is quite outdated wifi 5 design
*
X68 not X60, thanks for the correction.

Don't think so but not impossible. So far got 2 upgrades without contract extension. Once in 2017 (Thank You Surprise) and once in 2018 (Turbo). Free some more.

Can you check your ports if the common ones are open as they should be

https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/
on the right click scan all common ports
*
Using https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/, for common ports, mine are all closed except for port 80. Other which are opened: 4500, 8443, 25565, etc... are working fine.
