I'm working outstation cam mana nak tangkap gambar. Pi tgk terus kalau serious.Find my mech Kalai, he'd be more than glad to arrange everything. Belah pulau ni besar la. The only mito rider i know is a foreman in bayan baru. Others I don't know. So far Penang damn many riders claim to ride Mito and RS250, but never see bayang before. Low profile kot. HAHA. My plate is wilayah plate bought from Welly subang. Registered year 1996.

I'd be back in Penang in a couple of days. Will post pics then.

Damage caused by carb setting not ngam with the engine resulting the exhaust valve snapped and crushed my piston to pieces...
BTW, that piston was extensively lightened by grinding out the inner wall...(U can see in the images on the biggest piece's inner wall)

Worked just fine until the valve was snapped... doh.gif

Carb setting nt ngam, means A/F sudah salah tuning. Run too lean = detonation. This is what I don't like about most mech here in malaysia. Carb tuning mostly not accurate.

Yang pakai motor 2 stroke always damn takut. High RPM detonation memang cam sial.

Ngahaha...that is absolutely correct... tongue.gif

For my bike, when you check the plug, the color is just right...reddish color like the brick...
but if U ride it, it feels a bit lean..jus a bit...
that's why I let it be 1st coz wanna re-setting the carb next morning... nod.gif

after re-tune the carb, wanna test la...
Start the engine and let it be idling 4 a moment...
the engine running is just fine...
then it stop by itself with an awful cracking sound and a puff of white smoke from the exhaust... shocking.gif

Maybe the valve is just too old for my bike...3 years already... hmm.gif

No worries coz I already back in business with new sets of piston, block and header...
Now, have sent the head and block for skimming process... rclxms.gif

Next week, my bike will be on the road again with a lot more power than before... rclxm9.gif

My old engine (which was broken) already 150cc...
For this new engine, I think I still wanna use that 150cc setup...
but with different kind of piston head skim... nod.gif

Adioz: Cam mana Mito tu langgar plak? Hear injuries sound very bad, but the bike seems ok. Only front and head fairing pecah. Rim tak bengkok, pipe tu pun nampak cam ok lagi. Rider kena "buang" ke or sangkut at car?

I oso kena before 5 years back. Car turn out to main road without stopping. I langgar driver door, tak terpelanting tapi sepit between door and bike. Patah rusuk, ankle and shoulder semua right side.

How much you need to skim off and bore to attain 150cc. Cyclinder wall sooner or later oso will crack at high rpm. Caya la I know.

Last time my old mito big bore kit 170cc also same. Setting semua cun, tapi bila selalu lenjan, cyclinder wall can't bear the strain or the heat.

You can buy 150cc FZ150i engine. There is also third party 60mm block (160cc) and 63mm block (180cc) available, but pretty expensive because they are race engines.

I'm using a 58.75mm piston...Stroke still standard...54.0mm...
I've used that setup since last Oct...Even had a long ride from KB-Kuantan-KB in one day(Riding at average speed 130km/h..complete the travel under 24hr)...
Had no damage before until now... sweat.gif

The key to this long lasting big-bore kit is the block...
If the block is some chicken made Racing Block, then it won't last long...
Mine is original Yamaha block, resleeve to 62mm, using 58.75mm piston...
Sent it to Thailand for the sleeving process...their workmanship and the sleeve material are the best... thumbup.gif
Cost about Rm300 just for the block...

That piston damage has nothing to do with the block or piston size...
Its all about the old valve...If I've changed the valve on last moth top overhaul, this thing won't happen... sweat.gif

It cost me around Rm500 just for the head modification, resleeving the block, and piston kit...
Exclude the camshaft, port & polish, clutch, etc...really burnt some of my $$$... sweat.gif

The bore x stroke is = (bore)58.75mm x (stroke)54.0mm...
Do the math and U got 146.38mm³... rclxms.gif
