QUOTE(long3016 @ Oct 5 2007, 06:02 PM) That racing gasket have bigger piston hole on the header gasket...58mm in diameter compared to the original one which is smaller... That gasket is needed because of the bigger piston which is also 58mm in diameter... Also the oil seal quality is a lot better than ordinary gasket which is important for this radiator cooled engine... And for the racing camshaft is not for the valve respond faster... It is for allowing more air+fuel mixture going into the combustion chamber by opening the valve bigger and longer than the standard one... Got many kind of racing camshaft...for pick-up, for mid-range and for top-speed...Got other kinds also.. This post has been edited by nk3371: Oct 5 2007, 07:47 PM |

QUOTE(xecton @ Jun 10 2008, 11:42 AM) I'm looking for a scooter to cut down the petrol expenses. for me...scooter is a petrol drinker...What do you guys recommend to get? My wife is favouring the Modenas Elegen but I've been reading through a bit and it seems that it is really good for long distance rides, which is not my concern. How is the fuel consumption? I read that its RM0.12/km, that is almost enough to run a car. why...? try traveling at low speed...the engine is revving up high... and yes..scooter is much easier to ride...just sit and full throttle ahead... for best FC, try to find a scooter which have good power to weight ratio... maybe elit 150 will do...a big engine with average body size...or Suzy VS150... Naza GTR maybe too rugged...I've seen someone trying very hard just to get on that bike... so high loh that bike... Elegan 150cc right...? and it got a big body lor...that's why the FC is This post has been edited by nk3371: Jun 10 2008, 01:01 PM |

QUOTE(hihihehe @ Jun 26 2008, 02:13 AM) It will have a problem when the owner install the big-bore kit...If the kit is well made one or original FZi kit, then it's OK... If the kit is cikai2 one, for example taiwan made, then it will have this kind of problem... ![]() and this... ![]() All because of Rm180 taiwan made big-bore kit... the block sleeve cracked, water leaked into combustion chamber and evaporated, makes the chamber dry(from lube la), piston jammed, then viola... Standard engine also can have this kind of problem if the owner don't take care of the lube,coolant,etc... so beware... This post has been edited by nk3371: Jun 26 2008, 06:55 AM |

Piston Anganku Musnah...
![]() Damage caused by carb setting not ngam with the engine resulting the exhaust valve snapped and crushed my piston to pieces... BTW, that piston was extensively lightened by grinding out the inner wall...(U can see in the images on the biggest piece's inner wall) Worked just fine until the valve was snapped... QUOTE(taingonghai @ Jul 3 2008, 05:36 PM) Carb setting nt ngam, means A/F sudah salah tuning. Run too lean = detonation. This is what I don't like about most mech here in malaysia. Carb tuning mostly not accurate. Ngahaha...that is absolutely correct... Yang pakai motor 2 stroke always damn takut. High RPM detonation memang cam sial. For my bike, when you check the plug, the color is just right...reddish color like the brick... but if U ride it, it feels a bit lean..jus a bit... that's why I let it be 1st coz wanna re-setting the carb next morning... after re-tune the carb, wanna test la... Start the engine and let it be idling 4 a moment... the engine running is just fine... then it stop by itself with an awful cracking sound and a puff of white smoke from the exhaust... Maybe the valve is just too old for my bike...3 years already... No worries coz I already back in business with new sets of piston, block and header... Now, have sent the head and block for skimming process... Next week, my bike will be on the road again with a lot more power than before... This post has been edited by nk3371: Jul 3 2008, 08:35 PM |
