I am using full synthetic 10W-40 EO, can last 4000km on my bike. Just bought a Denso Iridium @ RM45, but will change during full service.

QUOTE(Kaizzya @ Jun 14 2008, 05:19 PM) Please check your Wave100 manual, it does mentioned about the spark plug size and type (cold or hot type). However, bike Iridium can't last as long as car Iridium. The Denso I bought can last 25,000km only.QUOTE(kurtkob78 @ Jun 14 2008, 09:50 PM) It depends on brand. I've tried a few:1) Esso 15W-40 - RM39 2) Hi-Rev 15W-40 - RM42 3) Royal Purple 10W-40 - RM34. So far Royal Purple gave me the best results --> very good engine warm up, smooth ride and no clutch slip. This post has been edited by charge-n-go: Jun 15 2008, 01:26 PM |

QUOTE(Kaizzya @ Jun 15 2008, 02:10 PM) my wave manual giv me denso original size Iridium also same size as original. Just tell the shop you have a Wave and need a matching size.not denso iridium wah.. ur area got sell full synthetic oil ar? mine hard to find loh.. Yea my area got full synthetic, but when your engine is full warm up, mineral, semi or full oso performed similarly. I always travel short distance, that's why need a real good full synthetic to provide good warm up. |

fo33il:
Denso Iridium Power, IU27 5363, RM45. Bought from RacingMate Penang, near to Komtar. I recommend to buy racing coil to provide better spark performance. iluvena: EX5 runs best on Shell Economy in terms of fuel efficiency. Able to provide me 120km for full tank. Runs best on Shell V-power in terms of performance. Able to hit 120km for full tank too, but the cost is more $. Caltex is the second best after Shell Economy, giving me about 110km per full tank. gerrardinho: Accident usually happened due to riders' attitude. As long as we take more pre-caution and always sensitive to the surrounding vehicles, we can avoid most of the accidents. Even if it is the other's fault, we may still lost our lives if we are so unlucky to get hit. This post has been edited by charge-n-go: Jun 18 2008, 06:41 PM |

if you guys wanna save more petrol, increase the petrol burning efficiency.
DO: 1) racing CDI, increase spark efficiency esp at higher rpm. 2) Iridium spark plug which burn the petrol more thoroughly. 3) High flow air filter. 4) High flow exhaust. 5) Lighten the rim and sprocket (smaller size) DONT: 1) increase Carburetor size, pilot jet or mainjet. 2) increase bore and stroke. 3) racing camshaft and valve spring. 4) increase tyre size, esp on the front. |

more oxygen mah can have more complete petrol combustion lo. If the petrol burns better, of course it is more powerful. Then u can open less throttle to maintain speed. Your stock CDI i have no idea. Some of the racing CDI has low voltage and over voltage protection.

yesterday I went to do a full service on my 135LC when reaching 12,000km. Heck, the bike feel like new again. Engine vibration is reduced, more silence, smoother power curve and more acceleration! I only gotta pay RM20, freaking worth.

standard service, adjusting valve clearance, de-carbonize valve head if there is any, clear fuel line, recalibrate carb, checking battery voltage, TPS and CDI functionality.

welcome gerrardinho. What bike do you own?
flyingteeku, I dunno if Honda or Suzuki has the same service or not. Yamaha has free full service available for first 10,000km too. At 1000km and 6000km, u can do full service once (total of 2 free full services). However, we gonna bear the cost if any spare parts are damaged. |

QUOTE(nk3371 @ Jul 4 2008, 08:17 PM) My old engine (which was broken) already 150cc... hehe, cool. How much is one? What about the bore x stroke? For this new engine, I think I still wanna use that 150cc setup... but with different kind of piston head skim... QUOTE(gerrardinho @ Jul 5 2008, 01:58 PM) You can buy 150cc FZ150i engine. There is also third party 60mm block (160cc) and 63mm block (180cc) available, but pretty expensive because they are race engines. |

QUOTE(nk3371 @ Jul 5 2008, 08:12 PM) That piston damage has nothing to do with the block or piston size... Barger, you've got a good engine! 0 - 100kph easily ta pau stock 135LC ady. Its all about the old valve...If I've changed the valve on last moth top overhaul, this thing won't happen... It cost me around Rm500 just for the head modification, resleeving the block, and piston kit... Exclude the camshaft, port & polish, clutch, etc...really burnt some of my $$$... The bore x stroke is = (bore)58.75mm x (stroke)54.0mm... Do the math and U got 146.38mm³... My stock is terbalik from yours, 54mm bore x 58.5mm stroke. Long stroke gives me good torque at low rpm, but high rpm power is clipped. I love this DiASiL engine, very smooth revving. Right now I just want to increase the horsepower at high rpm. Changed to BRT CDI and the top end power smoothen a lot! I am wondering where can I do port and polish in Penang? I want a real expert, because I got in hand some modification spec on the intake and exhaust from some LC racing engineers. Please help if any of you happens to know. |

QUOTE(EyraYus @ Jul 6 2008, 11:16 AM) for me if u already have the spec..then go to engineering shop that also do pnp for car I am worried the car mechanics don't have the correct torque wrench to screw back my engine...QUOTE(gerrardinho @ Jul 6 2008, 02:42 PM) no probs USD 400 - 800. |
