I will choose Motorola Edge X30 (CN set) and 8/128 variant over this. It just RM2100 and a bit better battery. Others are the same.

It'll get up till A14 and another year of security updates, supposedly. Ordered my unit, this kinda ticks all the right boxes for me at the moment - big, high refresh OLED screen, big batt with 68W charging, dual speakers, SD Gen1, side fp sensor, almost stock android, supposedly clearer AI enhanced calls - I never actually got over my Z3, anyway..

The only con I can think of currently is there's almost no decent case available in the market. Not even in China, it seems.

Sadly there is no headphone jack. Or else, I will stick with Motorola.

actually in shopee there are plenty of cases for motorola x30 edge. China version which i think probably the same dimension

Yea still under Lenovo, you can go to Lenovo Malaysia site and they have Motorola and legion phone under them currently. Global version should be close to stock android, though.

Would like to report I received my unit, and fortunately the X30 case I bought fits like a glove, other than one odd button area on the left side. Works great out of the box, VoLTE works with my telco (Yoodo), but somehow not getting OTP sms for anything, will have to contact my telco on Monday. Will do further testing and usage.

Yea, just received the unit today. Using X30 el cheapo casing..lol but the best thing is that it fits nicely. No gap at all. Just like you said, only left side button which is no function at all

Haven't used it enough (I am under quarantine), but since I came from a long line of Motorola and Pixel users, this is just.. come back to form? At least got VoLTE, nice big vibrant oled screen (no where near a Galaxy though), very fast and snappy (I don't game), the side fp works well enough. Can't comment on battery and cameras, since I'm just... sitting around at home till tomorrow. If I have to rant, its probably the speakers..? Sounds just average despite being stereo and having Dolby Atmos. Will wait till the US gets their Moto Edge+ 2022 variant, and by then most probably will have cases by Spigen, UAG etc. Would love to get one that can put a lanyard, though. Lately I came to like having phones with lanyards.. makes it easy to fish out of my pocket.

Realme GT2 pro claims to be most affordable Snapdragon 8gen 1 powered phone. We shall see whether it will price cheaper than moto edge 30 pro not

I used the old Moto G5 Plus before, I think this new Moto flagship will be quite stock and clean. But from what I've been surveying, the camera seems to be a bit meh.

Ah, so even the screen protector for X30 fits well? From measurements it should be a tad.. bigger? If only so slightly. Getting a good accessory is hard for this phone, as expected.

On 3rd day, seems battery is getting better, or its just me.. so far no qualms about this phone, fits well enough for my current needs. Just ordered IMAK hydrogel screen protector for the X30, hopefully fits.

I guess Premium feel is subjective to individual.

It looks good despite its a plastic. Best part is not a fingerprint magnet.

some other additional things i noticed from day to day usage.

Volte and VoWIFI working out of the box for both Maxis and Unifi Telco.

Audio is great, with both wired and over wireless.

So you can't use Volte yet with Digi? Can you check your Network & Internet > Mobile network setting and see if 4G calling is there? Mine has that Volte icon on top left, and it does work, despite my phone is not in Yoodo Volte list. I can toggle Vowifi too but I guess Yoodo/Celcom doesn't have that yet.

No 4G Calling option i presume
