from what i know, VoLTE is a carrier specific thingy, means the carrier need to explicitly enabled/supported it. You can try asking DiGi in their community forum or emailing them whether they support this model or not. DiGi's VoLTE supported phones page is useless because it's outdated.

Indeed. But you can't get carrier out of the play, we have seen Google Pixel VoLTE still being not supported by our local carrier, until today.

From your previous posts, we can confirmed that:
1. VoLTE is enabled for your sim (either confirmed by CS or from MyDiGi app)
2. No issue with your sim as you can use it with your older phone.

So the problem is either:
1. DiGi is supporting it, but your phone is not
2. DiGi is supporting it, your phone is supporting it as well, just need to find the correct setting or hidden settings (just like your xiaomi phone)
3. DiGi not supporting this phone (for the time being or forever, but i have feeling it will be supported eventually since this is official MY set)

I'm also using xiaomi, initially I need to enable VoLTE through hidden settings. But after that i noticed that VoLTE is working without me going through the hassle, even after performed factory reset (complete wipe).

It's a good phone to me, the only things that hindering me from jumping to this model are:

1. Disliked the camera island design
2. Fingerprint area way at the top.
3. Gorilla glass 3 instead of 5 or victus

Probably need to get hands on experience from physical store to get the feeling.
