My opinion is that, we are living in Malaysia. We should pass the BM exam and should be able to communicate in BM(not asking for perfect). It's our national language after all. However, this rule should not apply to SRJK only, it should applies to SRK as well.

LTK tinggal di Germany lebih 20 tahun pon cakap BM macam orang tinggal di Malaysia, kita yang memang tak pernah keluar Malaysia nak merungut susah belajar BM doh.gif

And I agree on your second point, should apply to all school, not just SRJK. I hate when I conducted meeting BM only to be replied with rempit BM by native speaker. I don’t mind some “ke” “je” “lah”, but not full fledge rempit BM.

I don't care what shit TP grade nowadays, but come on lah, such easy language also cannot handle is it? If really tak sukak then just do the bare minimum to pass for higher education, then plan your way to keluar. No need to get so worked up in this sohai race bait thread.

The issue here is not about sjkc fail cannot masuk secondary school .... but rather the unequal treatment that if sk fail still can masuk secondary school.

See my earlier post #128.

The announcement was that an assessment test is going to be implemented...

---+---+---

When there are elections, beware of half info threads...
*
That does not invalidate what I said though? What I said still applies. Proficiency test should be applied to all students, not just SRJK students.
Does being in SK automatically makes ALL students meet the minimum requirements in BM proficiency?

Also early intervention would help weak students.

What I am trying to point out is the weakness and the false assumptions in the current implementation.
And chill. Not everyone that is critical to the current implementation is doing that because of the elections/didn't read the article.

Yup agreed.

But do you know that Malays in SRJK who failed their BM, do not need to go to Peralihan too? laugh.gif

It's a super weird system that has no consistency at all.

See also another reply in post #228, as quoted above.

Earlier self assessments at year 1-5... would automatically be there if teachers and schools now know that pupils can't automatically proceed to form 1.

I think it should be extended to SRK to not be discriminatory and to help weak students from SRK. If you do not agree then yeah let's agree to disagree.

Maybe I missed it but I don't see where in the article where it says there will be earlier assessments at year 1 to 5.
Are you assuming it will be there because of the policy changes?

If such intervention is not funded, it will not be there. Teachers are already overloaded in SRJK.
