@patricktiew

details are good but too much details just beat the purpose of the test.

@angie89
the chemistry is just pass/fail. you dont get to know the marks. if you cant pass the test at first attempt, your foundation in chemistry is not strong enough to survive the first semester. inorganic chemistry is not even a subject during first semester. so dont bother to revise on that.

as long as you can express your opinion well and by that i dont mean you should dominate the whole interview by talking for 5 minutes trying to impress the interviewer for each Q while others just talk about 2-3 mins.

the purpose of the interview is for you to clear any doubts you have about the course or the career, making sure that you are not being forced by your parents to take up pharmacy and lastly, to give you a rough idea of what is ahead for you

O.o okok~~ haha thanks for the advise~~ hehe XD

back to the ques on pharmacy..
basically, as for now, all the good lecturers had left..
2nd, the regulations here are tough..
3rd, markings and scoring is tough.. its not like public U or IMu where they use the graph bell shape distribution
4th, u will get to know the head of school and slowly make her as ur enemy no. 1
5th, life here is tough and not like other plces where u still can enjoy
6th, they school make u restless but you can complaint just dat they never take ur words with a lot of 'ad hock' new policy
wat else ar? its better u ask questions and i try clear any doubt

for the interview test, passing the chemistry test of coz is essential and a must.. well, we wont be touching on inorganic chemistry at all .. pharmacists dont deals with that..
there are few tips for interview..
basically, u must talk and talk and show ur communication skills
dominating the talk is alright..
they want to evaluate ur self confidence as well as ur confidence in taking this course..
besides, they want to know hw active u r .. like in cocuriculum..
you can talk all the great experience u had been having before
BUT RMB THE KEY WORD MODERATION..
dun be 'over' by telling the lecturers that u work in a pharmacy before and u sell drugs to the Cs.. so u think u will do better in this course.. fews had answered like this and get disqualified
basically, the wanted to know your passion /interest/ability in taking this course..
if u let them control u and u dont ask any ques or remain silence --> disqualified

@angie89

congrats. the key word is to pay asap.

pay asap if your parents have the money and if you are not waiting for another offer from elsewhere.

if you are waiting for another offer, dont pay them first but do pay them immediately once you know you are not offered else where or you just know you want to end up with UCSI.

you are suppose to pay within 5 days after receiving the offer but i am not quite sure about this. do pay only if you are serious about end up with ucsi

pharmacy course only..
for payment, the marketing ppl will tell u that due to limited space, you should pay now to reserve your place...
its actually a marketing strategy.. even if the skool started alrdy, my fren still able to enter into this course..
most of the students here would advise their friends not to study here..due to various reasons mentioned..
anyhow, if u have no choice to go here..
then, try to find way to enjoy ur study life...
if nt mistaken, the pre-requisite for granting the a university status is that the programmes offered should not have any twinning programme...hence, we no longer have any twinning and graduates will carry the degree from UCSI University

@onelove89

you can identify at least 2 forumer here taking medicine and if you were to pm them maybe you could get a better reply.

he is a medic students in ucsi and his blog is visited frequently by his coursemates. drop him a message or so.

@patricktiew

orientation 1st day.. formal ( at least short sleeve shirt, long black pants and leather shoes). dress code for lectures/tutorials are the same. formal.

lab session, you will need lab coats. it doesnt really matter what you wore i guess but normally you will have lectures on that day as well so you are pretty much struck with formal.

so it kind of make sense to stock up some formal shirts (long and short sleeves) before the intake if you want (<--- this sentence do apply to you, onelove89 as well)

2nd day normally casual(normally you will be told during 1st day by ur seniors) because it will involves games. makes lot of frens and have lots of fun.

medics student will have longer orientation, judging from last year experience but normally you will be told if you need to wear anything other than formal.
