haha..btw are you guys PTPTN loaner? i have some weird feeling telling me i will not get th e loan...i am so worry about it~!!

Mind telling the reason why?

And e-advantage, you need to get it activated by showing your student ID or your offer letter to admission office to get them to activate your account, then only you can do course selection.

would like to ask..my course selection was activated yesterday afternoon when i checked it at computer lab...somehow...when i am home planning to submit the course selection..it says closed....what is happening??

about the ptptn..my father own the factory..he work himself....and he has got no payment slip(slip gaji)...and i know that the steps would be very very complicated....so have very low faith in it....

and lastly, i feel like joining brogahill camp..for the 8 points sake..should i?
*
I was weird when you tell me course selection is open. As far as I am concerned, Mr Chang (Head of my program) tells me course selection will only resume as normal on 3rd May. I also remember first semester student will be asked to do course selection on a piece of paper and submit to admission office pending approval. Maybe you can wait till Monday and see what happened.

PTPTN loan? Get the income verification form and get it signed by Government School principal, they won't ask so many questions one. tongue.gif

ECA 8 points at broga camp and need to pay RM70? I'll rather wait for those 1-2 hours seminar that gives 8 points.

LOLZ..seminar gives 8 points? if it's true then i will just save the rm70..

hmmph..perhaps it's saturday or sunday...so i shall wait till 3rd of may..true first semester have to do course selection on paper as well as online course selection..and admissiom office was the one opposite of finance counter?

All the ptptn form will get from school or what?
*
Yes some seminar gives 8 points and you only need to attend for 1 or 2 hours, depending on the activity. Save your RM70, buy textbooks, not worth it unless you're really into adventure. If your aim is to collect points, pay more attention to your student email, the communications dept normally email activities to student's email one. Best is to forward a copy to your regular email so you don't always have to check your student email. Even if you attend, you won't get the 8 points because you don't have the ECA book yet.

Admission office is adjacent to the finance office. In between is Marketing office.

You want to apply PTPTN? If you want, any questions you can ask me. I can help you with some procedures and where to obtain the forms, but firstly you must attend the briefing and meet Miss Fatmawati on 7th or 10th May for submission and verification of applicant details. Right now, go BSN, pay rm5 obtain the pin and register for PTPTN at http://epinjaman.ptptn.gov.my (NOTE: IE ONLY)

i did go for the orientation...but then the info given is very limited...then monday should i attend any class since course selection will be on next week when my e advantage can only be activated on monday...and during orientation lecturers asked us to choose any 3 to 5 sub according to ur choice but the credit hours wont fulfill the requirement since i planned to take 4 subs...
*
You select the course you want, then check for timetable. On the timetable normally got lots of tutorial, so you pick one and attend the one you pick. It is essential for you to attend so lecturer know there's a person in that tutorial slot. Those lecturers if they see no students on that tutorial slot or very little people, the lecturer will ask you to shift to other tutorial slot and cancel that tutorial slot. It is ok if there is a lot of tutorial slots to pick, but some subject only got 2 or 3, and if they happen to clash with your other subject's timetable, you'll have no choice but to take it on next semester.

This is very weird, they reduce the lecture time by 50% from the previous semester. I don't know how you guys are going to cope up with the stress by studying 1.5 hours for lecture lol. And please, for FOM, I'm stressing, go for Linggeswarry's lecture and tutorial if you want to get A for your FOM.

i wonder why the faculty time table didnt include uni life and malaysian studiess?

Malaysian studies is under School of Social Science.
Very weird for University Life not featured in the faculty timetable. Still, refer to the notice board better.

Last time I remember my class starts at 3rd January and the course selection close at 20+ January. I go to my preferred class according to the timetable and only did mine 2 or 3 days before the course selection close. Reason is because I want to make sure that subject suit me together with the time slot they give, or whether I'm in the right program. tongue.gif

Stupid uni. Good thing im leaving in 2 months time!

kael, i did it myself..=)

Sarojini and Mabel is a good combo. Sarojini class is the best, always break one, but can't blame her also because Business Law you just need to read more. She normally come to class and teach 10 mins then say give 10 mins break but her break all over 30 minutes one. What's good about Sarojini - her tips.

Just make sure you attend Mabel class.

Any group u also can join, not restricted to any.

For FOM, under Nazliwati, no experience.

For University Life, Edward Dass - pretty interesting guy but make sure you get textbook, or else you know la sweat.gif But I think you probably sleep for the whole semester because this subject don't have exam, purely assignment and there are 4 assignments for you to complete.

Rabiha, her final exam tips very very accurate but she's a bit stingy when it comes to marks.

Malaysian Studies is divided into 2 sessions. If you choose morning class then you need to attend both morning class at different day. If you attend afternoon then you need to attend both afternoon class. You cannot attend morning and afternoon class.

Alex, you mentioned that you can have a meeting with the head of dean and lecturers, can you ask why the lecture period has been reduced to 1.5 hours and why most classes now are held at the evening / night? I don't remember signing up for night classes here at UCSI because the new timetable, some of my friend's subject are as late at 9.30PM.

OK, i will help u do this feedback to them and discuss wit them. hmmm the lecture class reduced to 1.5 hours maybe becoz too much students and lack of class. as i told u last time 1.5 hours per 1 slot, right? impossible they get 2 slot (3 hours) for the lecture time, lecturer juz use 2 hours within this 2 slot, it's like a time wasted.
*
But seriously I think the 2 hrs lecture just fit and enough and sufficient for most classes. With 1.5 hours I doubt whether we can actually finish the syllabus or not, not to forget sick leave and unforeseen circumstances when lecturer cannot attend and lecture us.

And yes, please ask, after compiling my timetable, I really find the new timetable terrible. For example my class on Thursday starts at 9.30 and ends at 9.30 too, with 5 hours gap in between. Most subject offer the time slot between 5 - 8 PM. vmad.gif

hmmm actually it's depends on the lecturer whether will get replacement class for students or not. once again, i feel u so lucky now ur timetable, i mean previously (before they updated on 2x April 2010, everyday I got at least 3 hours gap and max total 6 hours). after that they changed it, and my timetable start have some clashes, after 30th April they updated again and have serious clashes with the subjects i've chosen. If the subject timetable not going to change later, then i have to drop it. and i felt i'm quite similar wit u, all my class start at 2pm or 3.30 and end at 5 / 6.30 / 8pm. btw, after Add & Drop period maybe they would change again.
*
Woah, change again? Management really cannot fix on one period?
I don't mind the gap actually but just that I feel this intake will mean it will be extremely hard to find parking, don't know what to do at UCSI for 5-6 hours rclxub.gif

Edit: Those lecturers always say got replacement but in the end don't have replacement. Got replacement also not many can come, clash with other subjects.

previous time becoz i got 3< x <6 hours, i plan buy a notebook. so in between this several hours, i can use notebook surf net, do assignment, watch movies or whatsoever at the library ground floor (Super cold, i like it). hmmm the timetable wasn't fixed, i think becoz lack of class problem, and this is May Intake semester, everybody holding their SPM / STPM cert come apply for further studies. so each of the Head of Faculty get meeting and discuss how to solve these issue, besides, if u having final exam last week u should mentioned that Block C 3rd floor is under renovation. also, they are building 1 more level above the cyber lab if i'm not mistaken (They already got this plan when they renovate the Block B, u can refer to the Lift).

actually when ur class lecturer wan having class replacement wit u all guys and girls, she / he is not discussed with u all before she / he proceed?
*
Now this is a problem, the most I worried is parking space, always have problem or trouble finding one after 8.15 AM, park hillside also sometimes full by 9AM. Please discuss and let me know the result of the discussion. If UCSI do not have enough classroom, please ask them not to offer new course.

Class replacement got discuss but not many people can go since got 30% only can go, but she can't do anything too since other time more or less 10% can only turn up. That's the sad part.

Your timetable is wrong. If you are Group A for University life, you must choose back the day that is Group A for University Life too. You can't choose Group C.

Icehart, i dont really understand..do you mean that i only attend 1.5hours of Uni life is more than enough or?
*
I checked the faculty timetable, FOMIT Group A lecturer is Edward Dass. Happy studying lol. You have two classes to attend, the concept is like Malaysian Studies, so that mean there is 2 sessions, and since u have choosen Group A, you need to attend both Monday and Wednesday class, total hours = 3 hours.

Christine is a better lecturer lol according to my friend who attended both lecturer's classes
