i believe the decision cannot be made solely by perodua team as they're owned by daihatsu.. if daihatsu says no, they cant do anything also.. perodua might just be a brand under daihatsu that does rebadge or localize the japs model.. imagine if the myvi was not localized, and they have to bring in the passo/sirion, what will the price be? surely wont be competitive already..

the car itself is not expensive, the import taxes are..
any japs car will be cheaper if converting from HKD -> MYR
but after u brought it into malaysia, everything will be different.. the car prices will be skyrocketted..

About the CPS + VIM dunno yet if whether they include it inside the new Savvy..

If yes, im almost 80% confirm wanna buy...wanna check first whether if Proton will make this first batch TOP QUALITY as they want to have the QA License..

Proton make the Savvy first batch top quality as they want to meet the minimum QA requirements, that's why my friend's savvy never encounter trademark Proton problems

hmm...the BLM in the end has charateristics of ALL protons

- the overall shape is like Waja jr
- the front facade looks like if Savvy kahwin Neo lol
- the back has some Waja feel + Aveo/C-clas?vios/all 3 box sedan cars look
- the sides has some Savvy influence
- and Saga is still the name

all and all, i think its one of the nicest things that is coming out from Proton. It wont be as canggih manggih like those other 3-box cars, but its affordable. That is what deciding whether Mr Abu, Mr Tan and Mr Raju to fork out the money and sign the agreement or not.

Sorry, off topic. Indeed, the Viva is an overpriced piece of metal. RM 44K for a full spec 989cc car? C'mon! If this new SAGA is priced below RM 40K for a full spec model, then people are going to think twice bout buying the Viva. But of course Viva and BLM are not in the same class.

Cool... this car looks pretty sweet... They did pretty good to conceal the roots, especially after what u've seen with V, L & C. I'm sure blacking-out the front facia will do wonders for the looks
