Does the price usually drop here after 2-3 months?
My Huawei Mate 10's battery is getting worse by the day and the Huawei OS has been frustratingly aggressive in killing apps and notifications of late so I'm thinking of changing. There really isn't much out there apart from an iPhone. I don't trust Samsung. OnePlus is no longer decent. So it's quite timely to be getting a Google phone now. I'm not in a rush though so I'm wondering if I should wait if the price drops over the next couple months.
In short, yes. Google US will usually slash USD50 - USD100 max off their new Pixel models during Black Friday sales in the past.
However, for this year i haven't seen any Black Friday offers for the Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro popping up anywhere just yet. Perhaps its too premature given the fact that Google is messing up their customer pre-orders on launch day and at the same time is facing production challenges to meet customer demand.
My best guess is that this year there won't be any discounts for the Pixel 6 line up seeing how majority of customers are expecting to recieve their Pixel 6 Pro delivered to them in December 2021 or later. I foresee that there will be supply challenges prolonged till Q1, 2022.
You're probably better off ordering the regular Pixel 6 now instead since this model isn't facing any fullfillment delays at the moment.

That means i'm not in the first batch. Noooooo.

Don't fret. No harm waiting since all new Pixel releases are half-baked and riddled with bugs upon release that will eventually be patched with monthly software updates.
