I got my iPhone 13.question on charger adapter

Apple store sells rm99 for 20w
I saw ugreen at shopee 100w too

Does larger watt means even faster charging?

If use 3rd party cheap rm20 20w adapter ok?
*
As long as it's PD charger, your iPhone will be charged at max 20w speed even the charger is 100w. Reliable brand such ugreen, anker, aukey, baseus should be fine.

Walked into SenQ 1 Utama yesterday just to browse and saw the iPhone 13 going for RM300 off.. no discounts for the Pro or Pro Max though. The sales guy told me it was their member month and had additional discounts if I had sufficient points on their PlusOne membership, and he asked if I was a member. I said I was and gave him my IC number to check. He asked me to wait, went to check and came back 5 minutes later to tell me I had enough S-Coins and EzyCredit to get another RM175 off hence I would need to pay RM3,424 for the 128GB variant.

Having just sold my S22 Ultra two days ago, I didn’t blink and just fished out my credit card laugh.gif

I’ve been using this iphone 13 mini for more than a month now, i thought i want to write something about it.. initially i intended to give this to my kid, but i somehow curious and end up having it for myself

I was a sucker for big screen phone for long time, always went for any biggest phone out there.. if a tablet can fit into my pocket, it would be my phone.. so that a background to start off lol

But this iphone me practically changed my preference.. i never thought i could live with a small screen phone, but i did and i think i will use this for long time. i’ve been using iphone since iphone 4. Due to its small screen, when big screen android phone became better, i craze for the biggest phone out there. Then iphone become bigger i also go for the bigger iphone.. and never turn back to small screen phone..

But after i use this iphone 13 mini, man what a breeze.. For the first time after years, finally a phone feels “professional” again.. if you get what i mean, imagine the blackberry era. I was from that era.. a phone that feels professional.. this iphone mini fits nicely in my palm.. it is not flashy, hence the professional feel.. gone was the day when i pulled out my phone in a meeting it attracted everyones eyes lol.. this is a phone that is very capable, yet very subtle.. from performance to camera, it does everything decently, that makes me feel easy when using it. It dissapear into my pocket, gone is the boner lol. But it serves me well whenever i need a phone. It doesn’t makes my hand and fingers tired when using it, the weight is almost negligible, feels very nice to hold. The screen size surprisingly adequate for anything i want to do. And if i need bigger screen, means i simply need my ipad or laptop..

There are a few reasons i prefer this than the max big borther.. firstly again the size, i just realize with this size its less cumbersome to use. I’ve been using this without any casing nor screen protector since day 1, partly because of the apple ads emphasize that this iphone is strong lol.. after more than a month now, indeed it is still flawless.. last time i did tried to use my phone naked, but after a while i started to see very fine scratches on it and regretted. But on this one, i can’t see any even if i tried to really look for it under bright light. It could be this time the glass is really strong, but i also think the size and weight contributed to this. The benefit of using it naked is i can enjoy the premium feel, whenever someone hold my phone i can see how their face touching the apple stuff lol.

Then, price. At this price range, it is within my cash buy without have to think twice or trice.. unlike the ip max, i think for most ppl its a heavy heart to put down that 5k+ cash whenever we buy it laugh.gif A premium and capable phone at this price range feels just right. the feel of buying this cash outright it somewhat rewarding.. but even ip max got hefty price, everyone are flashing ip max around, well its easy to get a loan unit from telco right, gone was the day when you flash you iphone could mean you are rich lol.. funny there was a time when i want to tip a grab food rider, but when i saw he was using ip max, i changed my mind lol.. also because this is not too expensive, i’m not too worried to drop and damge it, another plus point.

On iphone 12 mini ppl complaint about battery life. It is improved on 13 mini, but we all know the battery life is just enough for 8-5 usage. But then this is where magsafe brings magic. With magsafe battery pack, i never had to worry about bettery life. The small form factor of this phone combined with the magsafe battery, it is still very much portable. I tried to put the magsafe battery on ip 13 max, dem just too bulky.. the magsafe battery pack seems like it was made for this iphone mini.. also due to the mini have small battery, the battery pack feels more practical to use. If u use it on big battery phone, it may seems to charge very slowly and not too practical.

I really hope apple will continue producing this iphone mini, and i may like it more if they make iphone pro mini. Finger crossed.

Oh, I just like to buy and try different phones and sell them when I'm done. Kinda like a hobby - albeit an expensive one.

Is the S22 better in every aspect? I had the S22 Ultra and it wouldn't be an apple to apple (pun intended) comparison against the iPhone 13, but if I compared my user experience of the S22 Ultra with the iPhone 13 Pro Max which I used for a couple of months before passing to my wife I wouldn't say the S22 Ultra is better - it's just different. I do appreciate that it was ergonomically more pleasing than the 13 Pro Max though, which was heavy a.f. and not very comfortable in the hands for long periods of time, but everything else is a matter of individual preference - e.g. the display, the cameras, etc. The 13 Pro Max had the better battery life and speakers, hands down though.

I'm also a Mini 13 user. Compared to Mini 12, Mini 13 battery life really improved a lot.

What's a good, non-clear MagSafe cover guys? I went to a few retail stores yesterday and saw very limited options - mostly clear covers. (Please don't recommend Apple original cases, hehehe... I budgeted RM150 or lower)

Not sure about MagSafe or not but I bought UAG armour case in apple retail store. Bought from switch. Dropped my ip13 from shoulder height, was walking and talking, wave my hands and knock it off my hand, fell down several times, no damage at all. However, one con is its not slim and can be heavy. But hey, rather have a heavy iPhone than one with shattered glass back or shattered screen.

Ohh, I didn't see the Armor case yesterday, didn't think it was available in Retail stores. Thanks for the heads-up, will check it out. Ya, I tried Plasma case before but wanted a MagSafe case since I already plan to spend that amount of money, haha...

Wow. That's an unique hobby. Haha. Do you think the 60hz refresh rate by the IP13 is good enough since for other competitors they already offer up to 120hz at such price range? Some says the 120hz makes a lot difference even when u r scrolling fb.

To be honest, I have no problems going from 120hz refresh rate to 60hz, I did that from my 13 Pro Max previously to my iPhone 11 and then from the S22 Ultra back to the iPhone 13. Some people will notice it but it’s fine for me. Plus I’m not on FB that often biggrin.gif

That said hopefully we’ll see high refresh rate across the entire iPhone 14 range this year

I would say the wireless due to the heat that is produced. From what I know, the maximum amount of power a recognised Apple wireless charger is at 15W, a common Qi Certified is at 5W. Compared to a Apple Adapter which is at 20W.

Hope this helps.

My mini heats up quite obvious when using wireless. Since that time I only use wired
