Major upgrade only for camera and promotion, if you are photo enthusiasm, go upgrade.
if not, it not justify for normal user to upgrade lol ....own Iphone 12 pro max.

I don’t think the iPhone will transition so fast to USB-C or at all.
Few factors: the lightning port is making Apple tons of cash in terms of licensing etc, Apple thinks lightning port is better waterproof than USB C, and Many of their accessories are still lightning based to charge, eg Airpods, new AppleTV remote, Apple Pencil 1st gen etc

integration of Touch ID on the power button is going to be the next revolution for them....because it is a selling point ma......wait until there is nothing to upgrade they will throw this in

Already done so with the iPad Mini / Air (TouchID).

But thats only because there’s no FaceID sensor on those devices - doesn’t make sense to have 2 authentication method in one device, will only further drive up the cost.

Also I guess Apple is hitting a roadblock in terms of technological advancement, in fact alot of manufacturers do. Now the key highlight features is always about the camera and screens only.

I don't see that much of an upgrade from the normal 12 to 13 - no high refresh rate display as well. If you're into photography/cinematography then the 13 would be an excellent choice, otherwise if you can get a 12 on a good deal, I'd say go for the 12 - it's a great phone albeit the battery life is inadequate if you're a heavy user and have limited access to charging points during the day.

Yeah, I thought that with the EU putting pressure on Apple to standardized the ports they might give in sooner rather than later. I do have a number of lightning accessories too so I'm not too bothered about it that much

I bought Z Flip instead of iPhone 12 because lack of USB C. Looks like with iPhone 13 I'm not going to regret. Maybe 14 will get rid of outdated connector.

Not much difference between 12 and 13 iPhone lineups because you shouldnt be upgrading after 1 year anyway unless you realllly want that 120hz. 13 is more so for people with XS and below to upgrade to.
