Aish...bad news for me.

There is some bad shakeup in my finances due to work and a major mistakes in my own budget accounting, luckily it happened now rather than later after I committed the loan to the car.

Made a major mistakes in my budget calculation, my family hantuk my head for missing a crucial expenses....insurance expenses.
Don't ask me why I did not add that to my monthly budget.     

The impact is earthquake......deduction of 1K for insurance per month. Not to mentioned some unsure future element with my work adjustment...

So there goes my ability to pay for eHev and CRV is gone....hahaha... :...  

Likely will be downgrading my option to City RS (if still Honda) or cheaper subcompact SUV (for my wife).

Civic RS at high limit is still there in my list  (C-segment space, ride quality, etc) but I'm extremely reluctant now.
Feel just like ppl tell me out of nowhere, my car has been repossessed and I have to take bus now...  

Personally, I wouldnt even consider a C segment vehicle if 1k is an earthquake level impact. Hope you don't take it as snobbish, we wear the pants that fit.

I mean what if you have a medium sized ticket repair or a small disaster in the family, not everything can be handled smoothly by insurance.

To me, even if consider the E-spec Civic, or 2nd hand C-segment is a no-no. I rather eat nice food in a Myvi than maggi in a Civic. But again that's just me, very tamchiak.

Consider to save a substantial downpayment and drive an installment free car first, until you can actually buy the car with cash outright - THEN take a loan. By then you don't need to stress the calculator to smoking point when doing the loan eligibility calculation.

Our latest Civic FE is so global, Honda Malaysia really left the heater component on the car even for CKD Melaka units.
normally they could probably save a couple hundred per car, and they'd very happily remove it.

Thinking of FE as my last car I'm going to buy before my retirement in less than a decade, so of course try C-Segment lar. Actually that is to replace my 15 years old Civic FD as I'm not sure if Civic FD can last another 15 years....hahaha. Thinking buying now can get 7 years loan, loan period just right before my retirement.

Re-consider for E-Spec, reconsidering abandon C-Segment (there goes my FD replacement, downgrade), considering abandoning buy car for now...all from the posts goes seriously into my consideration.

Then again, might also consider abandon buying car altogether as I might be redoing my budget to possibly fully sponsor my precious daughter Master program, last resort abt 200K for a year plus living expenses oversea if she truly exhaust her viable option locally...But then there is no car for her to drive to school next year and in future if I divert all car fund to add on for her Master study.

Wait if my 15 years old FD, 17 years City failed me totally, how...Mmmm. Maybe I'm thinking too far but I always do that...the dilemma.

So many things to re-reconsider, heard new City petrol RS only need 1 - 3 months waiting period, X50 got stock....No fish, prawn also can...

i think is depend on luck and how u steer.. i think civic eps is a bit too princess, it is easy to spoil if always steer it to max right or max left in a very fast manner.

SC manage to fix the door rattling noise at the handle area, then my steering rack issue they acknowledged it but ask me to come back only when it gets serious 😂 so far only got clicking noise, and sometimes feel not smooth

Mine lasted only ~9 months...also experienced card key not detected intermittently a few weeks before the battery conked...after I changed the battery, everything goes back to normal.
Just FYI, the battery model is CR2412

i realized my car the b pillar will have click click sound when drive above 120km/h at highway... quite annoying zzz. but cannot get such sound if is not very nice road. anyone got this issue but fixed? last the rattling come if i move the seat belt to higher position..

i see the technician pour injector cleaner to my fuel tank only.. basically it can clean the injector only, ntg much it can do.. wont take it for next time. i doubt honda 4s can do real carbon deposit cleaning.

Steering Rack.

Just went to complained Steering rack problem yesterday, SC mentioned take 2 weeks for approval. Then once approved, CIVIL need overnight and left for 2 days to the steering rack replacement.

Pls refer to the meal of steering rack available at the Center.
