Ya lo, within this price range and offering in Malaysia. Should be really civic liao la. Yup, vibration is okay, it’s just the noise. Too bad, I don’t use media during driving lol. I think really need to adjust myself already.

Ahhh, my kid is now 11yo and only her. No more child seat for her. Sometimes, she automatically lying on the seat while sleeping.

we getting older and need car with great NVH. unfortunately the Alor Gajah made was known to cheapskate for sound insulation materials based on my experience for 2015 Honda Melaka. Verified it at car insulations shop. Solution, get the sound insulation materials package and install it at the car or 2nd, choose other car brand for NVH reason.

Honda service cheap is it using semi synthetic engine oil? I knew Toyota definitely uses semi synthetic oil as standard pricing, want use fully synthetic oil then need to top up over RM100-150 something... and my colleague told me before his CRV 1.5T he need to top up for requesting a thicker viscosity engine oil coz he no confident using thin oil on turbo engine, forgot to ask him is it semi or fully synthetic oil...
*
they quoted the price based on mineral oil price. https://www.honda.com.my/aftersales/maintenance
but the FS Oil at SC not that expansive cz they quote u per liter ur car need and got 15% discount. basically same price as outside.

from here...

so to me forever a dream... tayar kayangan  cry.gif
LOL
largest wheel size for me is only 17" laugh.gif absolutely zero plans to upsize.

but yeah, UUHP is like, even more "In between" UHP and EHP.
i don't treat UUHP as "track tires", i only treat EHP as track tires, these are not Semi slicks. majority of Semi slicks are not DOT approved/non road legal also.
and yes, track tires "may be cheap" initial cost, but they last a lot shorter than most UHP and if you can only last, say 20k km vs PS4 can last 4k km, even if you bought same price as PS4, that twice replacement would have doubled your actual cost.

over my lifetime of limited track days and motorsports participation, I've personally used:
1) Achilles 123
2) Yokohama AD08R (across 3 vehicles)
3) Zestino Gredge 07R

very limited usage on driving friend/members' cars:
1) Nexen Sur4G
2) Vitour Tempesta Enzo
notice, they are all EHP and not semi slicks. (even though some shops or individual may classify them as such)

now, what my post was referring to, was actually my current UHP RE004 on my own car.
and this is where some website classifications may be messy/F'd, up, even Tyre reviews:
https://www.tyrereviews.com/Tyre/Bridgeston...nalin-RE004.htm
this is classified as Max performance, but the compound and sidewall stiffness is so EHP like, with the 220 TW, how is that even max performance when NVH is not in consideration AT ALL?
hell, my Zestino was 240 TW, even higher than Bridgestone rating their RE004 lol

basically, these tires are really good on bone dry roads, >30c
anything under 25c, or high water flow, prepare for a very fussy VSC system.
hell, even simple shifts up to 3rd gear can get TC to blink if i were to dump clutch too quickly laugh.gif

i just love the Michelin PS4 tyre grip, especially in heavy rain. it just works great vs any tyre I have used. Cons, it will have a peel of issue on the surface after a certain time/km. Btw the office car just changed to the China tires brand of Powertrac Racing Pro. From my short driving time, it is also ok at wet traction, maybe Traction AA helps in this tire? Since it is still new, it is relatively quiet vs previous Achilles ATR Sport 2, which is a very noisy and bassy sound at high speed, and low grip at wet.

My battery is dying I think, daily cranking up sounds different and takes a tad bit longer. Got my car on 31/1/2022 and current mileage is 18k km. Thinking of either replacing it with Amaron or just wait until next month to change at Honda SC.
*
15 months already, time to change especially the 1st battery from factory, we dont know what the actual life. Inb4 i would love take battery brand that give 18 month warranty period

Ps4 peeling usually because of under inflation. Mine had no issue until end of life. Tyre pressure checked every 2-3 weeks tho. Checked with tyre pressure gauge, not trusting petrol station meter. And always checked during cold tyre.
*
I keep inflate the tyre based on recommended tyre pressure. It happened for mine on Ps3 and Ps4. Google, it is a well known issues. But I just use it to end of tread and not worrying about the peel off.

Plus rotation every 10k km cz I noted Honda car will have tyre worn off at inner part based on stock setting. Mechanic will advise to use those chamber jut to solve it but i don't take it

I don't have specific budget. Just want to know if there is anymore option.
The main issue have with MC5 is that the side wall is to soft for my taste. I already try pump to 34-35psi and I still feel floaty
I haven't try Michelin Primacy 4 before, is it more to comfort or a step down from pilot sport?
*
MC5 known as poorest tyre among all.

I’m using Honda’s authorized dashcam, direct to fuse. recording quality really… No eye see. Wanted to report a car cutting queue, pass by my side also cannot see number plate clearly. But considered I took eHEV and I don’t want any trouble in future from Honda Malaysia with all sort of donkey excuses to void my warranty.

Used their tint as well, don’t expect good heat rejection 😅 my previous car also use ecotint but can feel the difference… also same reason as above why I took their package. Another reason is SA gave me discount on tinted.

But using 12v port. Will the cable near port dangle around?
What about when I need to use the port for tyre pump. Disconnect power to camera everytime?

I already looking at A500 or A800 earlier but tot can direct go fusebox coz honda sure got port for dashcam still they offering one.
Then this warranty thing comes in.
*
Can get installer for good installation. Especially the wiring. And for pump, why not make it at petrol station?

Have to jaga 4 cars. Next time 5 cars. Very tiring to keep driving to petrol station to pump, always rosak.

I pump at home when I like, cold pressure. My wife, kid, mom all spoiled by me.. I jaga all the kereta.
*
install the tire pressure monitor devices if to ocd on pumping. much better. 5 cars, no issue.

So cheap can get and no need installation. I ignorantly tot need to hardwire sensor into the tyre area only can work. I think I going to buy tpms for all my car, ya, I now learn how to call this.

So long no check car forum, missed lots of info and I have been doing all the unnecessary manual checking all these years. With this, I can pump only when needed.
*
Latest model, can even Bluetooth the device to ur phone and check the tyre pressure by phone.

Hi

Someone I know unfortunately involved in accident this weekend. His civic is out of warranty but the accident is definitely not his fault.

Can send the car to SC for repair and claim insurance from the other party? Will SC accept their cars that is out of warranty? Anyone got experience with this kind of issue?
*
Big yes. Just send to Honda Body and Paint. They will quote the price all and claim to your insurance first. After 14 days where police results come out, your insurance company will claim back the other fault insurance owner. So ncd not burn

Tint need to check IRR% and TSER%. Tbh tint from manufacturers usually not the highest spec on market. Tbh Ecotint brand kinda very old brand and got also people put poor review on it.

just finished service, today car ngam ngam 1 year.
complained about steering rack, tuk sound and slightly sticky steering feel especially on highways.

technician and SA ask me to explain under what scenario, the sound will happen. (from their expression, i guess they know what's the issue already, just trying to pusing here and there)
i just tell them, LKAS Off, ACC Off, and jom kita pi test, u pandu confirm u akan tahu apa masalah.

during the test i asked him why this issue since FC still cant solved, initially he doesnt want to talk much about it, and asked me is it sound/sticky during u turn (very obvious trying to pusing cerita)

and i told him nicely, come on, xkan u dont know this is such a well known issue? and he started cerita about the well knows rack issue by Honda.
*
Past experience Sg Long Kajang 4S technician kinda ok and entertain for my inquiry on rattling, issue I had and asked to test the car together. Others kinda it is ok, no issue found mode. Claimed a new side mirror driver, cz mirror rattling at high speed last time at that SC

That hardwire thingy will void fuse and electrical system warranty. No want risk that coz this car really too many gadget. No want mod anything or void anything. Too old, no energy to play, kiasi liao.

Also have to start budgeting for 18" low profile tyre PS5 tyre in 3 or 4 years time. Ya, I'm a stupid no money but still wanna buy michelin PS4 or PS5 kaki. Love PS4 on my FD. Still change to overpriced PS4 now coz PS5 not available for 16".

Mmm...maybe I re-consider, go buy new Facelift City instead...budget seems to be getting higher and higher, the more i plan. Wait really go buy new CRV how?
My planned savings to pau a 20 year old yi lai when I retire will goes up in smoke if this goes on.
*
The 18" ps4 or ps5 is kinda affordable if u know how to search the right tyre shop. If just walk in nearby sure shocking price.

That's one of the reason electric range advantage diminishes on highways

how unlucky we are to skip the Diesel engine peak time like 10 years ago. we just straight jump to EV and skip diesel as per European back then. Look at UK website HRV previous gen with Diesel engine bring up great KM/l.
