How did you use the brake pads for 150k km.......

Just got my civic. Everything good so far without any nosie in the cabin. Some thoughts:
1) Will need to release some air as I think they overinflated it.
2) sure and rear camera really is shit...lol but I can live with it.
3) definitely need.lumbar support else.my.40 year old spine is gonna break real soon.
4) speakers are mediocre at best. My 20 year old accord had bette speakers.
5) Enabled wireless android auto but how to pair? I followed some instruction to remove any pairings from the car and phone. Turned on blue tooth on my pixel 6. Press connect on the HU. Paired with my phone, HU and phone shows same code and I pressed pair but did not get any functionality there. Spotify works with Bluetooth audio.
6) SA tried to give me rm50 worth of petrol but I insisted on 100. What did you guys get?

went to shop taobao saw alot of accessories for civic fe which is useful, esp the reverse auto tilt. Seller said is plug n play, but when asked he say only support passenger at right hand. But i dont think so, cos another accessories shop online said if wan both side can auto tilt just buy 2 set. Probably will get 1 and try in future.

Even the under engine cover can buy also much cheaper than honda. Mine need to be replaced, now thinking change back honda or use third party like orsen which is better protection.

I think engine oil treatment is also optional.  Was told those are for old cars, more than 10 years old.

If you are 1.5 turbo, best to do the engine treatment regularly, and also add the engine cleaning additive for every 20k km follow SC advice. Our turbo engine different from those NA engine.

The additive maybe can skip if you really don't wan. But if you pump 95, better take also.

Because my cousin work in honda, the 1.5T very easy to have carbon stuck in engine, especially when you use 95. The carbon will start affect the engine and reduce its power if maybe after 50k km if you pump 95 and don't do any treatment.

He still keep the 2.4 ivtec, that is the best engine in his eyes.

Yes, this is my thought also. All GDI engine has carbon build up issue, that is the inherent design drawback of the GDI engine.
You may want to read up on port injection and GDI and  the new thing in the block they call it hybrid, where they combine port injection with GDI injection.

Now anyone have any thought about pumping RON97 or RON00 say every month once to clean the injector head? Does it works? For eHev, i think it is not required. Doesn't help much imho, since we use the engine mainly for batt charging and high speed cruising. For regular turbo maybe?
To be honest, the engine is already revved to the max when it is assembled in the factory. So..... to me, i don't follow.

Engine cleaner is not useful for GDI engines. Your valves (at the top) are not sprayed by the injector (below it). Many people above have already commented.

Going for additive or anything beyond the manual is just giving $$$ tips to the service center.

Carbon near the valves have been debated till kingdom come but we already in the 3rd decade of this design and actually the stubborn deposits are near the outside and the sealing surface is cleaned by the closing action of the valve anyway while the internal combusted side well just combusts the rest.

Recently did put Liqui molly injector cleaners for high mileage time, to so called clean it,seems did hve some effect, haha maybe placebo eff.

sent in my car for 30k and service b.
complaint about steering TUK sound.. technician say they cant detect it, and told me since i've claimed before in june 2023, it wont happen again.

damn lazy to argue with them and just leave it..

In my town only one SC. They basically monopoly all Honda cars.
Basically should be the rack design causes it. But ok la still can drive, as long as don’t have any sticky feel on highway, but I believe it will come sooner or later

i believe small SC don wan do because their mechanics/technician not enuf, they prefer do something they can earn money. warranty is free labor

My experience is horrible at a big chain nearby my house. Reject 2x different issue. One is the "undetectable" sticky steering. Auta Honda malaysia Auta.
Nothing is free, labour should always be claimed, if you look at the job note there is labour, it will be charged somewhere...

Haih, all these steering rack issues, I've just hit 1k KM in a week. lol. hopefully won't come that soon.

My two years old civic almost 42k km, touch wood so far no issue yet

Did chit chat with the SC office last timer, they say most civic got steering rack issue because they change the rim size
...but of course this is their one side story.

So far my only issue is the car seat really uncomfortable in long distance drive.

Nonsense, mine standrd rims, absorbers /whole car also kena 3x, my SCs all said vendor tak boleh pakai

Wanna ask, does SC let ppl go into their workshop area during car service? Cos my engine undershield damaged, worry got small animals can go up if no change and water bla bla can splash into engine bay so im thinking wanna change or not. Whole set around 750 not include labour. Gonna see how extensive is the damage also. Sc only tell me got missing clip.

Seriously with FE getting more Steerjng rack issues.

My car steering rack sticky first day oledi got, just that i tot i sakai never drive EPS so i tot is normal. Then feel cannot be notmal cos i can be unpleasant when high speed cos u move steering abit u expect it to move but it is sticky so is like movement quite big then. 1st time complain SC, they say yeah is ur steering rack prob but can wait until worsen.

Last last SC straight change for me even i no further complain. Actually they oledi order the part wait come

I was like i had been driving the car for almost a year with steering rack problem lol. After change steering rack feel like total diff car feel 🤣

The racks are sourced from a vendor and not manufactured by Honda I believe.

I have the same concern as you, what do I do when my 5 year warranty is up? I read that the FC folks have extended 3 years but only one time change for the rack. So far touch wood, 2k km and still okie. Mum's 5 year old HRV is okie, dad's 9th gen Accord with EPS is okie.
