drive slow might be boring and stressful. but what I really like about driving slow is no need to sit at right lane, no need to change lane. cruise at 90 to 110kmh can just hog the middle lane for entire journey. no need to mind, whatever car behind doing. become middle lane hogger is so heaven. before this I hate middle lane hoggers. but now I become middle lane hoggers myself. the feeling is so damn good.

arrived destination feel fresh as fuck as very less energy use due to no need to change lane. less focus on car behind means less energy use. but thats just for me perhaps.

Just done my steering rack replacement. It’s the enhanced version according to them, so hopefully it won’t reoccur. Need to drop the car there for 2 days.

pauline tan say can go 200km/h oh lol. thats the thing, i feel the car can go faster but i din go over 190 lol. 1 thing is, the car totally doesnt feel like driving at 190km/h, so well planted and stable, engine noise also no much. only thing is road and wind noise lol. i abit regret install visor, the visor makes wind noise worst

Mercedes interior quality had been pretty average in recent years, especially A class

BMW and Audi have far better built quality

after i sat in my colleague amg a45 s, i felt like civic interior quality and nvh is much better lol. Ok la, the car is tuned for sport lol.

I'm in the Corolla Cross owners group and funny enough some Corolla Cross owners are also facing the same steering rack issue

Thing with many Bermaz Mazda SC are similar, if not same, or worse.

They just don't have a steering rack issue to claim warranty of, and lesser interior noises to claim warranty for.

Supposedly, that's the premium you already paid up front for the higher priced Mazda.
And assuming there's no plan to own the car over 5 years and/or you'll sneak that ATF service outside risking warranty (supposedly, no issue also la, done well, SC won't know)

To me, same shit different smell.
I just have a distaste with Mazda marketing and hype.

I've no issue with Civic which why I bought it. I think it's still the best overall packaged car in comparison to other C-segments. I've driven the Mazda 3 and the CX-30 too, both are amazing cars as well in their own way hence was shortlisted.

Just that I can't stand the quality issues that's hampering plus  it's treated like no biggie which I hate a lot. Like the steering rack, the rattling noises, the window squeak (which the SC has the audacity to blame it on the tint despite been there since day 1) etc.

Some might have time to keep sending over to the SC on weekdays but I don't have the luxury to do so. Even service also I need rearrange my schedule to make it happen so yeah.

latest greatest + cost cutting generally don't play well AT ALL. and that's unfortunately what the Civic FE is going through. it's even painful that the steering rack is similar, if not exactly same as Civic FC. but i think it wasn't so apparent back then as the FC was on earlier versions of Honda sensing with much less assist? and many variants/earlier FC releases don't even have Honda Sensing.

to me, i'm a car person, i can accept these teething issue and maybe our SA/sales person at Kah Motor Melaka provide good service with good communication.
they have to la, as my wife family is a looooong time loyal Honda customer. can't say the same for the rest but mentioning anyways due to differing experiences.

and the reality is this: if you want a C segment sedan, you're really screwed on choices in Malaysia.
Mazda 3 is only feasible if both Altis/Civic does not exist, especially you needing it as a family car and need rear seat comfort and boot space.

the transmission of the Mazda 3 is quite... ancient and the shift logic leaves a lot to be desired. fortunately though there's paddle shifters that's a lot more responsive to shift but then again you'll need to put in effort, as with the NA engine. and it brings back to my situation where my own car is much better and WAY more rewarding if i were to put in effort on driving.

We replaced with May Showa (local brand) 55DIN.
it's under the DIN60 spec, but this new one is 600A rated while Honda original 450A rated

Hello all! V spec ignite red owner reporting in    Got my car last month and was just wondering about some tyre choices. Any V spec owner planning to change/already changed their tyres?

Asking out of curiosity because I wanna set aside some $$ for new doughnuts at the end of the year....road noise with the Conti MC5 on highways is LOUD 

So far I've surveyed Nexen N Fera Su4 (approx RM350/doughnut) and Conti UC7 (approx RM480/doughnut).

Looking forward to more suggestions!

seems like only ori v spec rim can use primacy 4st, rs spec cannot use quiet tire lol.

Battery somehow dies just barely after a year.

Suspect:
1) not real/true maintenance free battery provided by factory
2) turbo heat and recent weather damn hot

btw, is it normal for the engine to be loud when i just startup my car and idle ?
