QUOTE(isr25 @ Dec 15 2021, 03:55 PM) That's why have warranty. In any case, not guaranteed that later models will not have problems. Also, this car has been on the road since June 2021 (US), so I'm sure if there are "launch issues", it would have been detected and corrected since. can't really compare US and Msia since they are both made in respective CKD plants, and with CKD there's bound to be quality variations with locally sourced parts as well |

Speaking about the media preview drive at Sepang, Honda Msia prepared a FC Civic and Corolla 1.8G as a comparison, but for some reason left out the Mazda 3 sedan
Wonder why. Pricing? |

QUOTE(aarex @ Dec 17 2021, 05:27 PM) If over 150k Basically just paying more for cosmetics (technically the 18 inch rims should have better handling but you lose out on comfort as well)If RS didn't come with 10.2 inch cluster meter. Then the price diff didn't really worth for RS spec? if lets say V and RS price diff is 15k? - 17 inch rim vs 18 inch rim -Normal leather vs Leather Suede - White headlining vs black headlining Others on RS: - Red stitch steering - Red stitch on gear knob - Door lining Illumination - Sport pedal & foot lamp - Ducktail spoiler - Black door handle, side mirror and antenna Guess I will wait until they decide to release the 10.2 inch cluster. Next year possibly gonna have corolla and mazda 3 facelift as well. This post has been edited by ZeneticX: Dec 17 2021, 05:58 PM |

QUOTE(heihei2 @ Dec 20 2021, 01:05 AM) Corolla stock tyre is primacy 4 now, but the sound strange.... i rmb I read someone saying here (or another thread) that corolla NVH better than his new Mazda 3. Either Mazda 3 NVH really sux or maybe its up to personal preference 80km/h the tyre sound drone the whole cabin, aiks there was a time where Corolla is the benchmark for c seg NVH, but not anymore despite toyota marketing say premium this n that corolla used to be bigger than vios by a significant margin, come with adjustable reclining seat too, but tnga change it all, bigger on the outside, much smaller on the inside, worst nvh but u get much much better safety and handling QUOTE(JY8808 @ Dec 20 2021, 11:14 AM) Hi guys.. this can only mean 2 things - I just checked with my SA that my previous "Ketam" booking will be converted for the new Civic. When I told her do I need to update her the color and variant .. she said no need wor She told me, we will be given approx 5 days to update on the color and variant.. while the delivery of car will continue from the previous queue. Launching date given Feb or Mar. Should i get the updated booking receipt ? Things mcm very vague and is this how it works? Need some advise here~ Tenkiuuu i) ur SA bullshitting you ii) FE Civic price will be same as FC ketam (unlikely) |

QUOTE(PoisonSoul @ Jan 6 2022, 06:03 PM) Yeah, their target all wrong d. 3k also can civic already la (according to /k lah) haha. But looks like there's no 10" meter cluster Its sad we will be the only market in SEA to miss out on that full cluster on RS spec... (Thai, Indon and Philiipines all have that 10" cluster)You kinda see where HM priority is when you see their slide especially the target market. Kinda explains why we getting that 18" rims on the RS as well... (Thai and Indon have 17" rims on RS while Philippines is also 18" but they have everything inc Bose audio and full cluster) Our Civic RS is purely a cosmetic premium over the V. Really sad. At least with City RS you get more features and a different drive train This post has been edited by ZeneticX: Jan 6 2022, 06:25 PM |

think i'm just gonna test drive and hold back my purchase. the lack of that 10" cluster is a dealbreaker for me especially in the RS spec
also waiting for MK8 Golf R Line 1.4 TSI. Rumoured price is around 130 - 140k+ also my C segment upgrade shortlist - FE Civic RS - Mazda 3 2.0 H+ - Mk8 Golf 1.4 TSI R line Corolla is out because I really can't accept that interior This post has been edited by ZeneticX: Jan 12 2022, 03:29 PM |

QUOTE(hot_hunt @ Jan 12 2022, 03:45 PM) Same, cant accept corolla interior.. I'm ready to retrofit those safety features myself if I end up getting the Golf (found a few shops that does this with original VW parts). but it really boils down to how much they price the Golf, 120 - 130k is the sweet spot, otherwise I'll wait till year end for deals. I also believe its gonna be easier to get higher discounts for VW (since its considered a 'cold' brand) compared to Honda or Mazda. My only concern for the Golf is the usability of all those touch controls in the interior... this one have to try out myself Golf price maybe very competitive but lack of all safety features..but still a nice car to drive mazda 3 liftback is sexy & nice if you no concern about space For Mazda 3, its expensive and honestly other than the overall design and interior quality, nothing to shout about for me. I guess I like it because its the only choice (other than the Golf) to still have a conventional AT rather than CVT QUOTE(lee82gx @ Jan 12 2022, 03:49 PM) If RS is priced at Mazda 3 2.0H+ levels, I think not so fair to compare to 13xk Altis. Well I'm looking at segment rather than price...so yeah my range is 130 - 150k+. And personally I don't really want a crossover or SUV so naturally the choice is limited to the few sedans/hatchbacksAnd in my mind I think that 15-19k spared is really a handy sum if someone does end up with the Altis. RM15xk is really just 1 more top up a bit from CRV..... So yeah, personally for me, the Mazda 3 is completely priced at the wrong market (not for me). |

QUOTE(lee82gx @ Jan 12 2022, 04:02 PM) you are definitely free to spend your RM150k however you see fit, go ahead and make your best informed decision. more like spend more but have to make sure its well spent. have to pray not ending up getting a lemon Usually spend more is less prone to regret than spend less. QUOTE(lee82gx @ Jan 12 2022, 04:25 PM) if space is no concern, I think Mazda 3 2.0 H+ will be fine. Either way even the RS is going to be very hard to regret. because when it comes to buying cars, I find it very hard to accept lower spec parts if something better is supposedly available, that's just me. I'm someone who is willing to pay for more, just give me the damm option. And this is also just my opinion, the meter and LCD in the Mazda 3 was well designed and integrated. The lower spec display in the Civic is not I just see that Mazda 3 has a round LCD display in the middle only...what so bad with a 7in rectangular display on the RS compared to it? I will not touch a VW with 40foot pole. You retrofit some crap into a VW, say goodbye to already fragile and weak warranty. I'm pretty certain your entire warranty will void if you fit in anything that can adjust throttle and steering outside of factory. I was not gonna consider VW at all until they mention the new golf will come with 8 speed AT from Aisin instead of a DSG. But still if I were to get it I prolly will opt for pre reg or year end discounts. Also reliability issues and so on, I'm going to gather opinions from owner group first rather than hearsay on internet Anyway a car is more than a A to B tool for me, so in the end I have to test them all to see which one I like spending time in the most. To put it simply.... I'm buying with my heart rather than brain This post has been edited by ZeneticX: Jan 12 2022, 04:39 PM |

QUOTE(lee82gx @ Jan 12 2022, 04:52 PM) Well, the Mazda could have come with a 2.5L engine too if compared to what others get for the same money as a RS in other countries...........or a 2.5 Turbo but you can't pay for either even if you have money. Engine is a different story, can be few ten thousands of difference thereDoing business with Vincent Tan in Malaysia is WAYYYYYY worse than with Honda or UMW Toyota. Look at how he crippled CX-5 in safety. But that 10" cluster..... how much difference its gonna make? Also the fact that we are the only region in SEA to not get that in the RS spec just made me more sour Ok I should stop here before I'm starting to sound too petty for a 10" screen blissandecstasy liked this post

QUOTE(PoisonSoul @ Jan 12 2022, 05:44 PM) I'm also being petty for the lack of 10" meter cluster. Like come on man, other SEA-s can do it, why can't we? Why TH (HQ) can do it but we can't when we have a plant here? Damn potong when I saw there's only 7". Unless HM is up to their usual tricks sleeve again. Remember City? 1 year after intro, HM be like "Here's V-Sensing with HSensing and the 7" meter cluster for an extra 4k!". So why do I feel that HM is gonna do the same for City Hatch and Civic RS in a year's time? I got a strong feeling they are gonna go with this pathway. This is exactly my concern as wellNot really in a rush for a new ride so I guess I'll just wait. The longer you wait the more choices you get as well when it comes to cars Only thing is missing out the SST free period currenrly This post has been edited by ZeneticX: Jan 12 2022, 05:57 PM |
