QUOTE(AVFAN @ Oct 10 2021, 07:12 AM) are you using just 1 pair shown in the picture or there is another pair in front? before fixing them at ceiling, did u try a "reflect from ceiling" position... any diff? those speakers are normal bookshelfs, right? My living room is small , so I only use one pair overhead speaker. I try to move the direction of overhead speaker tweeter toward to my ear when I sit at center of sofa, you can try different angle degree sure got different effect. My surround speaker & overhead speaker are same model. They are xtz 93.21, normal surround speaker with frequency response 49 Hz - 25 kHz. Their bass reflex ports design in front of speaker, suitable hang at wall . This post has been edited by kkthen: Oct 10 2021, 08:15 AM Attached thumbnail(s)

Yes. overhead speaker better use front bass reflex port or sealed box design, So we can place it close to wall.

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Oct 10 2021, 12:18 PM) I remember your top of main front speaker not Flat, how do you put atmos enable speaker on top? But you can try Wharfedale-D300 which also can be mouthed at wall if you fail to get good result as atmos enable speaker on top of your front speaker.

But you can try Wharfedale-D300 which also can be mouthed at wall if you fail to get good result as atmos enable speaker on top of your front speaker. correct, my main speakers top are curved, cannot place on top. planning to place on top of the surround (side) which are wall mounted, thus no need to drill or hang separately. becos these existing side speakers aren't big, i can't use big heavy ones that weight 2.5, 3kg each as atmos. which leaves me with only the onkyo 1.2kg... but it has only single cone, yet rated 25-100W. will it work well enough? QUOTE(rx330 @ Oct 11 2021, 09:23 AM) other ppl is neighbour or house member? House member. Lol So far haven’t reached the level neighbors bising yet, don’t think it will reach. That’s why I will not need to upgrade my speakers anymore. Lol By the way, I moved up from TV speakers to satellites to floorstanding and then did an upgrade to old and used B&W (which will be final. Lol). Thought I wouldn’t need a sub after that upgrade but felt not enough bass. So… Added an entry level sub for that little bass (for that little oomph) and that’s it for me. I always need to manual change Dolby truehd or DD+ to atmos. So I always got the chance to hear the different of non atmos & Atmos effect. This post has been edited by kkthen: Oct 11 2021, 11:51 AM

QUOTE(rx330 @ Oct 11 2021, 01:12 PM) cannot detect but can output? Can not auto detect atmos . Need to use remote control to change "Dolby Truehd + dolby surround mode " or "dolby digital plus + dolby surround mode" to get Dolby Atmos.
