hmm i been farming that 6* cephadrome for this 'coral cephalos fin', u need to break the fin and it has a chance to show in reward but the rate is really really low. anyone know of any other mobs that drop this crap?

I know how you feel, I need those fins too. Break the fin and capture it for higher % in the rewards. That' what most people say anyway. =\

i think the answer to that coral cephalos fin is to play with your pig before u go hehe.

also i find using bow is easier to break the fin, sonic bow III charge3 rapidfire to the fin when he swims past or when he is about to shoot sand. melee is kinda resticted to chopping when he swims, once he surface its impossible to reach.

You can break the Fin too if you hit around the belly area but most of the time I overkill it...... =="

whats a good gunner set for bow? the thing that i really need is Lg earplug and Loading, i can make the +4 loading thingy but that need a set with 3 x 3socket pieces...

+2 reload more than enuf
quite hard to find 3 slots eq
even got also sucky stats

hmm...try garuga...IMO the most important skill to a bowman is ear plug....1 scream you're dead meat if you dont have that...lol...

tigrex i think makes a good bow armour if some jewels are added...

erm +2 reload not useful to bow at all lar. it only decrease the time to apply bottles which is pretty fast anyway and happen only once in a while.

hmm the more i play bow the more i regret not getting the japanese version of the game coz with the scatter shots i can imagine the blood spill will be like a freaking niagara waterfall....

hey I am curious about how to carve a faking death gypceros?
I tried walking to it for the carve but the smart bird just use his "revival" attack on me...

erm its using the fake dead skill lar hehe
gypseros faint dead a 2-3 time before the really die

to test it u can try going to the tip of its wing and hit it afew time to test test. nothing happen then safe liao.

the village elder quest gypseros will usually wake up after 1 hit, high rank gyps need 2-3hits sometime.

Added on October 16, 2007, 3:58 amdiscovered sumthing when playing that 6* downloaded event quest that need u to kill 50 vespoids in jungle, when i get the message "10 monster left" and the area i am in ran out of vespoid so i switched to the area where rathian use to come to sleep when she limps (forgot which number), there is a REALLY BIG vespoid there, its HUGE...

i killed it very very slowly with poison so as not to destroy the deadbody and looted a "vespoid abdomen" from it.

You mean carve it while his faking death? Every time he starts faking, just faster run beside his body before he fell down, after his fully down, you can carve 3 times but chances are you'll get hit after the second or third carve when he wakes up so don't get greedy lol.

When you're doing Dual Gypceros, a good way to know are they faking deaths is to try and see if you can run through them while they are doing their death animation (when they are falling to the ground etc). If you can run through their body, it's death. If you can't, well, START giving mouth to mouth cause that cute little turkey is still alive! lol =D

There's this "WTF" Gypceros moment when I was playing with my friend way back. We were hunting for Gypceros head so we keep on doing the Dual G Rank Gypceros. We're fighting the Purple Gypceros first, the whole process was so fast and the Gypy starts doing his death. We thought he was faking death so we faster position ourself right next to it's body to carve some extra stuff....

Me: Fast fast carve before he wakes up!
Him: Carving~Carving~Carving~
Me: Dude, you're getting greedy, we'll freaking get hit- Oh screw that, I'm freaking greedy too, Carve more~

Me: Iono, I'm guessing we'll get hit if we move. The bird is still faking his death.

Me: Probably waiting for us to move to he could do his karate flip moves.
