Hi. I just need to clarify something. In order to play on Kai with my PSP, I just need to get either a WiFi Max or a Planex brand WiFi adapter? I do not need to get a wireless router whatsoever? Am I right so far? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Sorry, I'm kinda new here (Don't usually visit lowyat.net, just started recently) and I never used Kai before. Just started learning it only for Monster Hunter. (Wouldn't do it for another game)

You have to get her hp down to about 40-30% before you can cut off her tail, same goes with Teo, Kusha and Oonazuchi.

Well, like what ShinAsuka said. If you think that you've done enough damage, you can try going for the tail. You can't monitor the monster hp, where's the fun in that? lol

Or, if you have a weapon that has Dragon element, you can keep going for the tail after you've done breaking the head. Dragon element does the most highest damage on Teo's & Nana's tail, just right around the butt area. You can do the same with Kusha too, all except Oonazuchi. < You really have to trust your feeling with this dude lol. ^^,"

Added on September 18, 2007, 5:51 pmI used every weapons on MH2, was a Gunner before in MH but I'd retired from the Gunner career and switch to melee combat in MH2 because I realize that meleeing is much more fun. (Doesn't mean my Gunner skill is degraded though lol ;P) I guess I'd do the same with MHF 2, currently using Taichi, SnS & Hammer at the moment.

You should check out Lao's armor then, his armor looks like a samurai lol.

Try searching for armors with the skill "Faint" in it. +10 to cut the duration in half and +15 to be completely immune to it.

If you keep hitting their head till they fall, their Wind/Fire barrier will also temporary disable (They will come back up when they start roaring). A weapon with Dragon Element will make short work of them. Every time when Kusha blows his wind or jumps back and start taunting, his Wind barrier will also be disable for a few sec, giving you a window of opportunity. That is your key to attack. Same goes with Teo & Nana. They are just slightly different.

Yep. When they start limping/weaken, you can 100% capture them, doesn't matter how fast you set the trap or not. Unless you give them chance to recover their HP (Sleeping, Eating, Drinking etc).

Not all monster will limp though (or rarely), like Plesioth or Diablos for example. Plesioth when it's weak, it's Fin will be down. Diablos on the other hand, when it's started weakening, he will constant goes into Fury mode after being hit once with any sort of attack regardless is it a weapon or not. (Including just kicking him in the butt with your leg).

Monoblos on the other hand, is totally the opposite. You won't see him go into Fury mode anymore or seldom (Not like Diablos anyway) when his already been weaken.

Too bad that I only have 1 PSP, can't play together with my brother. He said that he prefer the PSP version. I prefer the analog stick though. Hard to get used to the PSP version after years of playing on the PS2 version imo.

Some people said that if you successfully pet it, you will have higher chance to get rare item in rewards. (Just a theory though) Still, it wouldn't hurt to pet you pig once in a while.

Added on September 25, 2007, 7:17 pmMy friend just got his Planex, but we keep having a lot of problems via Kai. If it's not quest not appearing, then it's the damn comm error. Seriously, we both played Region 3 version, Channel 1, Slim PSP and stuff but still we are having this problems. It's more frustrating then fun to be honest. If this goes on, we might as well just stick with AdHoc. Is there any kind of solution to fix or even reduce this type of problem? Any solution at all? Bombard me with them, I'll take anything! (Except hammering my Planex USB, I already tried that.)

1 more thing, any of you guys tried playing Monster Hunter Freedom 2 via AdHoc with a Slim and a Fat PSP? Another friend of mine has a Fat PSP, but every time when we're in the online gathering hall, I can see his character but he couldn't see mine (He could see my name though). When I created a quest he can't see it and when his the one who create, I can see it but couldn't join. I mean, we both played Region 3 version too and I don't think there's problem with Fat & Slim PSP WiFing together. Any idea what's the problem is ? We went to Gamers Solution too but still no luck, Bernard said he too never encounter this type of problem before. So yeah....I don't get it, any takes on this one?

Bernard tried updating my friend's firmware PSP version to 3.70, I'm 3.60 but still no luck.

See! That's what I'm talking about. It shouldn't be a problem. Just don't get it why he can't freaking see my guy or the quest while we are AdHoc-ing.

lol people! I have 2 friends who play Monster Hunter Freedom 2. One uses a Slim PSP and another uses a Fat PSP (The one who uses the Fat PSP version doesn't have a com) . They are 2 different person.

Me and my Slim PSP user friend both uses 3.60 version, we didn't upgrade it. We can play via Ad-Hoc just fine, no problem whatsoever but with "Kai" we keep getting comm error, quest occasionally not showing up & Breaking-Off in the middle of a quest run. We can sometimes still play but there is more problems then fun.

Now, for my other friend (who uses a Fat version). Me and my friend who uses a Slim PSP can only play with him via Ad-Hoc because he doesn't own a com BUT the problem now is, me and my friend (Slim user) can see my other friend (Fat user) character and name and we can see each other and take quest just fine BUT he couldn't see us. He could see our names but quest won't appear on his PSP and when he creates a quest, me and my friend (Slim user) can see the quest he created but we couldn't join it (It keeps saying can't confirm quest). I went to Gamers Solution with him but still no luck, doesn't know why my friend who uses the Fat PSP can't see me & my friend who uses a Slim PSP in gathering hall. His version was 3.40 something before, updated to 3.70 but still the same. That's why I tried posting here see is there anyone having problems playing MHF2 with a Slim & Fat PSP together.

3 of us are playing Region 3 MHF2 by the way.

So basically, 2 Slim user can play fine via Ad-Hoc but is having an ass playing on Kai & 1 Fat user can't join the Slim user via normal Ad-Hoc but can see their characters name.

lol! That's what I told my friend too lol, I mean that's not possible. I suspect maybe it's a Hardware or Software thing but not sure. We tried using Bernard's from (Gamers Solution) Fat PSP but he too can't see my character nor quest, his using a modded PSP with 3.60 version by the way if I'm not mistaken. He doesn't have an original Fat PSP with him at that time so we couldn't test that out. Really strange. Oh yeah and 1 more thing, then we ask Bernard to let my friend try using a Slim this time to see if he can see my guy with it and now my friend can see me..... o_O
There's an assumption that maybe a Modded PSP can't play MHF2 with the original PSP. Just a theory though but my friend is using a original Fat PSP although he did send his Fat PSP back to the factory about 2 times for repair......maybe something happened there? Anyhoo, any possible explanation will be helpful. My friend is really sad now. =\

Added on September 26, 2007, 3:23 amI guess original 3.60 firmware, both of us didn't touch it since we got it. All of us playing from UMD, Region 3 & Channel 1. I don't see why my Fat user friend can't see us.

(And here I thought 3 of us can finally play together but this type of unheard problem has to surface.)
