Data breach could be not at CIMB, might also be at one of the site that have recorded your payment before. Even if at shopping mall or hotel if they keep record of customer card and cvv number.

This happens after I purchased an iphone from apple website.

Credit card info are stored encrypted, not in plaintext. There's probably man in the middle attack, or there's a website that stores my info in plain text.

I didn't give facebook have my payment details. Someone else must've use my credit card info.

Bank told me, if manual charging, no need sms. It's the same as you go to the cashier.

their modus operandi is steal your cc info then sell fb credits to people at cheaper rate, those people use to advertise their posts, usually illegal gambling or other stuffs illegal ones

this way the money stolen cannot be retrieved back from them, but you can still get your money back from bank, they are like robin hood robbing from fb, hahaha

Someone try to purchase game using my card, but the bank block it and reissue new card. Good that they know my spending profile.

Maybe because most people use CIMB. I hope I also got refund.

*Update* facebook says it's someone I know. Fcuk, I don't remember paying any facebook ads.

Must be legit transaction, that's why cannot refund. Plus they're the receiving party.

Could be in my friend list, or they just assume. I don't know at this point.

why not file a dispute with your card issuer if you feel these are unauthorized transactions?

i have cimb cc too, and i have been replacing my cc for about 20 times

File a complaint with Yr bank. I got refund in 2 weeks. Refund show in next statement.

How to do that?

And people out there keep saying that CC has better protection and privilege compared to Debit Card.
