Those sewa Facebook scam is there for a reason.

If u subscribed fb ads then it is legit transaction else its scammer using your CC

I have exactly this fraud transaction last month.

Wrote to facebook, got my refund within 48 hours.
Wrote to bank, replaced the card.

They said, it's a manual charge. They have my credit card number, from where also I don't know.

Not that you click ads and get charged.

It's because you promote some post with FB ads.

Which bank your CC?

Your card details likely leaked and some bad actor using it to make payment that can't be trace back to them.

Judging from many other facing similar situation recently, I guess there's data breach recently.

I didn't do any promotion.

How did they get my credit card details? Do you know which page in facebook that can show my stored payment methods?

it same goes to me. Ad sense if not mistaken charge me 2x under my credit card totally about rm1k. I complain to bank saying that it should be TAC number verified by me before that transactian.
Bank immediately stop my current cc and arrange for new replacement.
Bank ask to fillup report form
About one and half month after that ...bank refund back that money.

Damn, if they keep on data breach, need to cancel my CIMB account.

How it happened?
They have stolen your card number and cvv code from unsecured website.
And then facebook allow transaction with only credit card number and cvv, skipping the TAC verification.

I have used my cc for at least 50 websites. So it is very hard to pin-point which website leaked my cc info.

Not all site need cvv, eg steam store did not ask cvv

Just try to recall if you made any CC Payment online for the past few months?

FB (merchant) canceled the transaction and reimburse in full amount.

Bank can do from their end too with proper report.
