same engine as old vios ?

The engine should be the same. No additional horsepower. I think there are some finetunings to the gear ratio. That's why the response might be different. hmm.gif

Not gear ratio - it is the transmission control unit (software) that is changed.

I went there as well and took some photographs. Will share it on my photo thread one day. Overall i found out to be okay, especially the black vios. However, i still feel the rear seats is cramp.

Psychology problem? It is only 1cm lesser from Latio in terms of legroom and many more cm larger from City. Headroom is at least 1cm more than City but few cm lesser than Latio. wink.gif If City is spacious and comfortable, this new Vios has surpassed it.

QUOTE
from far really look like yaris

Well City from far looks like Jazz too. wink.gif

The new Vios is now in Toyota showroom. I've sat in all S/G/E. They are so spacious. Boot space is smartly designed as less space is wasted.

Seen the new Vios. The S model looks fabulous with bodykit. Love the steering and the centre console and the centre armrest.

However, the material feels cheap compared to older version, and oh the rear cabin still feels cramped like the older version except for the legroom thanks to the new floor design.

Steering should feels lighter now and a slightly more powerful performance thanks to the implementation of an EPS. That's all i can say for now. Will test drive in a couple of days.

Yup. Agreed on the headroom at the back a bit low due to aerodynamic.

Lighter steering is nice and gives a bit more power to the car. rclxms.gif Test drive with 5 ppl in the car and it still accelerates well. thumbup.gif

Material quality. And i have sources that this is due to UMW's cut cost purposes. Damn UMW. And look at the front seats, the material inside the fabric is so thin that u can touch the "bones/skeleton" of the seats. doh.gif

Exactly... Try feeling the plastic and fabric trim of the door panel, it feels like the one in Myvi. Previous generation has that grade A plastic feel but the new Vios just don't have it sad.gif

But I do like the centre armrest and the gate shifter.

Yeah i know! But just wondering whether the price drop somemore after the new vios released. Anyone know where can get the 2nd generation vios and wat was the price they offered. I prefer the 2nd generation vios to the newest one. Anyone any ideas?
