QUOTE(ZM Fong @ Oct 26 2021, 11:47 PM) Gaming 3 is actually still worth it at it's RM3.2k-ish pricing.Nowadays, you can't even get any gaming-ish laptop under RM3.5k. Also, I'm much touched to see AX200 and 512GB SSD as base specs. The main issue I think will be the eyesore IPS with low colour and brightness, so it's best to use with external monitor. Kasichanlah.jpg This post has been edited by msacras: Oct 27 2021, 01:28 AMLenovo is again on lelong mode when they sells this budget gaming laptop and offering “FRONTLINER” discount. The performance/price it offered is unseen or unmatched for a long time. Be it the lowest variant or highest variant, both are “dirt” cheap for what it’s offering. (Though I don’t really suggest upgrading the 1650 to Ti, it cost RM190 more just for the slightest performance increase, less than 5% IIRC). ![]() ![]() I also very tempted in the performance/specs this Gaming Ideapad can offer if I don’t have a working laptop with me (I’ve actually upgraded/side graded 3 laptops in the past 5 years, 2 of them sub RM1.5k cheap pricing but still no reasons to do any upgrade or purchase any time soon...) Lenovo actually have a spinoff model called Ideapad Creator and it came equipped with a decent display. If I can source this panel for cheap and upgrade the Ideapad Gaming, I might just pull the trigger again. haha https://laptopmedia.com/review/lenovo-ideap...-on-the-budget/ ![]() x88yunkw liked this post

Hi guys,
Really appreciate if i could get some inputs in terms of build quality. I work on construction site so build quality concerns me, like, a lot. I also play AAA games ( like RDD2, Witcher3) quite often so performance is kinda important to me as well. Budget: 5~5.5K Usage: Autocad, Gaming Requirement: performance. I've shortlisted my options, right now im choosing in between 1) Acer Nitro 5, Ryzen 7 5800H, 8GB 3200Mhz DDR4 RAM, 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD, NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX TM 3060 with 6GB of dedicated GDDR6 VRAM. 2) Lenovo Legion 5 Pro, Ryzen™ 5 5600H, 8 GB SO-DIMM DDR4 3200MHz, 512 GB M.2 2242 SSD, NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX™ 3050 Ti 4GB GDDR5. I've done some research but it confuses me even more. My thoughts right now is that Option 1 is defitnitely better in specs, and Option 2 have better build quality. Am i correct? If the build quality doesnt really make a big difference, i dun mind choosing acer>lenovo. Buf if the Nitro 5 is really cheap plastic then i will go the other way round. I couldnt make my decision and i wish to place my order ASAP as i accidentally break my old one. Sifus please help |
