I always thought that Pfizer needs to be kept at extremely low temperature.

How does these small clinic has the right equipment to store at the right temperature.

Makes me wonder how accurate are these.....

Yes, I also wonder on this.

Some people that received vaccine at snall clinic, usually they get Sinovac.

But depends I guess. My bro in law didnt expect will get Pfizer at this clinic

I still couldn't wrap my head around - why the type of vaccines matter so much to a lot of people? at the end of the day it's the protection that counts.

Adverse effect is something to be taken into account - but I think Malaysia has not seen any death as a result of administering the vaccines

Before mixing, the vaccine may be stored in the refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C (36°F and 46°F) for up to 1 month (31 days)

i think the very low temperature part is only important during transportation phase

i think its less about side effects (the side effects argument is mostly towards AZ).... more towards the recent news of sinovac being less effective against newer variants reported from Thailand and Indonesia

Who knows in the future they might require us to take a 3rd shot or even take another shot of a different vaccine due to this. Might as well get it right from the beginning....

The shelf life will start to deteriorate once the vaccines are been placed in a temperature and humidity that is outside of the operating temperature.

If for example the vaccines are being placed in room temperature condition - then they have to be used within a couple of hours

yeah but I believe most clinic should have a suitable refrigerator for proper storage up to 30 days. as long people are coming in for shots everyday it shouldn't be a problem and no vaccine will go to waste

I believe if it's Pfizer - in which the operating temperature norms is within -60 Celcius , once they are been stored in the refrigerator it will last for around 5 days

I think that's why the government opt for sinovac - much easier to be transported and stored and administered to the general public

No. It make the different because of the ingredients. For example my case, because I have health condition that I’m on daily medication dependent, my doctor has suggested to get Pfizer instead of Sinovac and AZ. This is because the vaccine may interfere with my medication and cause serious side effects.

Which medicine you take? As far as I know, there's none. I only know people want Pfizer because they think their life is more precious than others

Did you go here recently?

I read a few articles saying Sunway Medical is giving out Sinovac although they had admistered Pfizer before to health care workers during the 1st phased
What I gather is that Sunway Pyramid Convention Center is giving Pfizer and Sunway Medical is giving Sinovac

Tbh, its Sinovac to be the safer option when it comes to medicine interference. Pfizer (mRNA) and AZ (Viral Vector) are considered new kid on the block with lesser long term safety data on interactions with pharmacological substances. Sinovac's CoronaVac (inactivated virus) vaccine is a traditional platform as old as time can get when it comes to vaccines.

But since your doc said so. How to go against him, maybe a 2nd opinion?
