No. It make the different because of the ingredients. For example my case, because I have health condition that I’m on daily medication dependent, my doctor has suggested to get Pfizer instead of Sinovac and AZ. This is because the vaccine may interfere with my medication and cause serious side effects.

I plan to bring along all my medical documents with me during the vaccination session. Yes, I want a second opinion from the vaccine center. Worst scenario I go home and wait again.

Sinovac is by far the vaccine with the least side effects. I don’t think Sinovac may trigger your asthma. It is the lower efficacy that make it unpopular. If you have concern on the type of vaccine to be given, or you have a medical issue that may be triggered by the vaccination, get a consent letter from your doctor. You may then show it to the staff in PPV and they will follow exactly.

Yes! This is one of the concern. If you are a frequent traveller to the white countries, you may need to show them the proof of your past travel documents. The staff will accommodate with that.

The problem is that many is rejecting Sinovac because of the cultural believe that it has lower efficacy, or being a ‘cheap’ or ‘commoner’ vaccine; while Pfizer is worshipped as the high class vaccine.

In the end, you cannot or you are not encourage to chose the type of vaccine. If you really has a strong reason, please bring along all the necessary proof to the PPV. It is not a wise decision to inoculate all citizen with only one type of vaccine. If the vaccine fails, all are affected. At least, a variety of vaccine may ensure part of the citizen is ‘surviving’ shall any misfortune happened. We should look at the bigger picture for the entire nation.
