Your normal cars also do not need F1 grade oil. It means that Petronas can produce F1 grade oil. So, the normal oil also can be as good. I believe Petronas is not just sponsor but have shares in the team, thus the winning prizes also produce some return.

i see u is funny. Thailand punya gasoline ada add ethanol and their highest octane rating is 95, and they normally just pump ron92, yet they paying premium price for their oil. Then gasoline is graded via euro specification, euro 4m already reduced alot of impurities, now ur bangang punya otak still live in 2000? High graded oil is for refinery less process to remove impurities, normally our Tapis crude customer is australia u knn u dunno u don talk kok can? Our crude normally sell to Australia because they buy from us is cheaper even tho pay abit premium over brent oil.

we here got ron100 u wan u can pump wat? i see alot sohai talk bangang here.

It is like putting RON100 when your car is designed for RON95. Waste money only.

Your normal car do not produce too high heat to degrade oil during normal operation. Yes, you can put luxury oil but it will not make it better for engine as normal oil can also serve the purpose as well.

Anyway, it will still make you feel satisfied and believe your car is better protected. wink.gif

Try read engine oil tered in F&F
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3310512/+4920

Amsoil got high TBN number, I think brand like Penrite and another name i forgot also quite good.
Anoter Murica farmer jewtuber also review a lot different brands and showed Amsoil really good.

Myself change to Amsoil last year really good, and i only use XL not even the Signature series.
Plan to change the same oil this year too

You bodo kah?
RON itself is one of the indicative of quality along side EURO. I don't understand your train of thought, Oil =/= Fuel
Plus you'll need HIGHER RON only if your manufacturer recommends it. Higher RON prevents knocking/pre-detonation which also can be prevented by detuning the engine.

Also you don't know shiat, Aussies using RON 91 with Euro 3 spec until 2027 in which they'll transition to Euro 5.

You do know that one of the Companies that's selling RON100 is Petron that has their refinery in PD,N9. Further, due to the slump in crude oil prices we've been using our own Crude Oils. Other than BHP/Caltex, which uses base stock from singapore, most use locally refined crudes. Even BHP uses gasoline from Petronas for the East Cost distribution.

Our Tapis is essentially sweet crude in which sulphur content is relatively lower than other crudes (Less processes needed to remove sulphur content)

ben300 this unker get his facts from fb/whatsapp

SOS : worked with Downstream.

inb4 sulphur is actually great for the engine as it act as a lubricant. Too bad it burns off to make SOx

For proton & perodua and mostly japanese marques yes.

But with Euro, recommending oil changes at 15k km. Especially with those smaller engines that has turbos, it'll degrade the engine oil at a much faster rate.

Heck, even for our protons cvts, its recommended to do half interval for fluid changes.

Fluids are cheap, Engine/tranny aren't
