Classic old man mentality. If Petronas no good, why there is still million cars driving with Petronas oil? Every oil is the same just that you want comfortable like knocking, etc.

I go service car i let the service center use their oil la for me as long as it works whatever they use dont bother la only pay $$ only...

That petronas oil for mercedes f1 is for overseas use.. local usage low quality one think of it its biz... of course sell premium oil outside rather than in country get more profit out of country... this is biz world..

I just bought Pennzoil from UMW dealer, both for my MPV & car.

I wouldn't think too much about it. As long as you get cheaper one, but if too cheap probably fake, then it is fine. I'd just buy from established shop.

As you know the engine oil has standard rating stated. So, for normal use like general public, it should perform within SAE specification, unless manufacturer cheat on test. So, as long as you buy established/known brand, I believe it should be just fine

If new, Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

If used, any branded oil will do. Just follow manufacturer manual on oil change.
