Its not SG reject cars. Just that the COE (Certificate of Entitlement) for the car has already expired and usually Singaporeans will send the cars to the scrap yards and it ends up here instead.

my father-in-law kena tipu with these SG scrap cars. he bought 3 cars. all he scrap when he found out they are actually illegal.
the modus operandi is sell the cars cheap but then charge you 15k-30k per year for the road tax renewal. notice they dont mention insurance. its because these cars are illegal so there is no way to get insurance coverage. even if they give you a cover note, the moment the car accident and the assessor checks the chassis and engine numbers, confirm gg.

they can give you the road tax and geran because they copy paste existing geran and road tax from a different car with the same description. same car model, same colour. they will issue you the number plate that matches the legit car's number plate. but the chassis and engine numbers will of course be different.

Why not just do what bangsa J did

Don't renew it. Just use it to Jalan jalan in kampung, use Vellfire to ambik sawit, ambik pisang etc etc.

Only way i can think of to make it "somewhat" legal to a "certain degree" is that in malaysia u legally own a certain make and model which is bought it in a non road worthy condition (crash, totaled, flood damaged). Then u get a SG scrap car transfer all the details such as chassis and engine number from the MY car to the SG car.

just for ur info.
there is no scrap car in Malaysia.
all import scrap is SCRAP part, Malaysia doesn't allow full SCRAP car import.

For those track car (official), it does come with Permit n full document, those ah beng racing Track car is those SAMBUNG sendiri by scrap part.

dont mix up recond vs scrap car ..once the car declared as scrap.. it will be different story (unless there are some magic behind at exporting countries)

if we want to import scrap car (legally) eg:japan ..we have to potong it half or chop half before exit. OR harvest part and ship as spare part

thats why there are so many halfcut car part in Malaysia

just like my 8 engine also buy half cut from other scrap car and transplant
