I split it and notice my 5G has only 2 bar, whereas the 2.4G has 3 bar. Only connection to 2.4G is successful. The 5G cannot never succeed.

I guess your 5G is much less wall and obstacles. My 5G is upstair - downstairs. Maybe the signal is less efficient for vertical distance.

for everyone who wants to buy A90J backlit remote just call Sony Service Centre and ask them for remote. Just bought one and need to preorder. the price very affordable just MYR160. RMF-TX621P is the model here in Malaysia.

The issue here is that my phones and pc are able to use the 5g connection, and an additional cheap router can also connect to it. Only Sony cannot. So Sony 5G wifi is sub par. Period.

I could add a cheap router and use it as repeater it will work ( ie the additional router provides an ethernet for Sony and it connects WiFi 5g to the original internet router ). But that will require additional powered up device.
My router has no such setting. Only can select 20/40/80 vs 20/40. Both setting making no difference. Cannot connect.

Okay okay I changed it to channel 40 it is able to connect using 5G. Let's see how stable it is. Tq for the suggestion.

That also depends on our environment. Like my house, I think all my neighbor set their transmit power to maximum. 2.4GHz is almost not usable. I simply turn off 2.4GHz radio on my router. Even the shorter range 5GHz I still can detect many AP available. In my case, the lower 4 5GHz channels are more congested. I get better throughput with the higher control channel. Best is to test it out and use the best performance channel in your environment.

got an X80J, tried playing a 4k Dolby Vision & Atmos video over hard disk and the audio lags behind the video. any issues for you guys?
normal HDR10 4k videos no issues

X90J has local dimming. That's it's key feature. The X85J does not.

Have you try connect your speaker directly to your tv audio output jack? Probably it will work too but not as good as your dac.

Went through a quick stroll in HomeDec. Sony is one of the exhibitors there. They only showcasing 65X80K, while the rest are J series. If I'm not mistaken they are also giving out 5 years warranty (instead of normal 2 years warranty).

Went to Sony shop got told to try using 2.4 as they may not be stable with 5.0ghz.

My first thought, why I need to choose lower band but ok la if need to be.. don't mind if no DC issue.

TBM (Tan Boon Ming) offers a better deal I think. I bought  55" X90J last week with Sony official 5 years warranty and free 1 month Netflix card for RM4,550.

The X90K compare to X90J not much difference other than these features

1.  AUDIO POWER OUTPUT  (10W + 10W + 5W + 5W on the X90K) vs (10W + 10W on the X90J)
2.  X90K has BRAVIA CAM option and Core, not on X90j.
