May I know how much you bought the 65x90j during last 12.12?

My x90J 55"(3 months old) screen broken. Just received call from Sony Center the repair cost is RM1068 with 3months warranty. Is it a good offer? Thanks.

What to look out for, like burn-in, time uses, etc  etc

Is 65X80K worth it? Or can get better spec with lower price? Like Hisense?

My x90j Netflix can play Dolby atmos, but not Disney+. Anyone know what’s going wrong here?

i check the title online it shows tat it is dolby atmos but not on tv.

It will only show if your TV or audio receiver support atmos. For example, if I select TV speaker or my atmos capable soundbar, Netflix will show atmos icon. But if I connect my xm4 headphones, it won't show.

Dang! The X75h already received android 11 update and yet my X80h still stuck at 9.

my 5 years old 55X930e die last Friday. 5 years view high nits TV, dont think i can go back to lower nits tv unless i go with OLED.

Went to Sony the Curve but only see A80K. Sony didnt bring it A95k?. Saw 65A80k and 65A90J price almost the same. which one is better?

I just wanna share my experience with Sony support for my A90J, delivered mid this year. I got the TV with a Sony soundbar that supports middle channel output to the TV speakers. Unfortunately, the center channel out makes occasional static noise - not very loud and not consistent , like crickets at night.

The Sony support here was super serious about helping me. They swapped the soundbar, swapped the main board, then swapped the main board back - all at home service. When all that failed, they offered the replace the TV, my choice of this year model or last year.

I got mine from Sony Store QUEENSBAY Penang, and the Support agent assigned to my case is based in Penang, so I cannot say that everyone is going to get the same service. But for what it’s worth, I’m really happy about their service and attitude.

Agreed with this. Going one size up in TV is really serious money…..especially if we’re talking about higher end ones.

Usually though, size > image quality. You experience the size all the time, for image quality, you need to be particular about accuracy, dynamic range, max contrast, speculative highlight, skin tones etc. and best image quality requires calibration some more - which for most people in Malaysia is impossible to get

how much is the difference between 55 & 65?

Anyone has issue with TV volume control lag when using HDMI ARC to receiver or soundbar?
I connect x85j to reveiver via HDMI arc. While the tv remote can control the receiver volume, there is a noticeable delay in volume adjustment. My parent keep pressing the volume button and suddenly the receiver volume make a huge jump to either too loud or too low in volume. It works by press and release the volume button repeatedly. But it is very troublesome. Using tv speaker, the volume control is smooth. Wonder if there is a way to fix this.

Thanks for the reply. I try it again. If I keep pressing volume up button, by the time I hear the volume that I want and release the button, the volume will overshoot a bit. This is more noticeable if I keep pressing the button longer for more volume adjustment. Maybe due to reaction time releasing the button. With the builtin tv speaker, the volume is easier to control. My parent like to crank up the volume listening to news. Since my parent mainly watch Astro and they are happy with the tv builtin speaker, I just power off the receiver for now.

it is called recommendation for a reason, for the 36 degree and it serves as a guidance/yardstick.

while some people prefer even larger, i.e. 40 degree of FOV or so, see photo below, i understand where you are coming from but i don't think there is a one size fits all solution for every single person.



Over the weekend, i tried your 6ft viewing distance by pulling my sofa nearer (or maybe i could have moved more, so could be slightly less than 6ft) and guess what, about 40 mins into the movie on netflix, i felt light headed and had to move further away to feel a little better.

perhaps my tolerance for such viewing angle might be somewhat smaller. Optimal for you may not be optimal for others.

And ya, i did made this a reference prior to purchasing a tv (on FOV).

By the way Sony also has its own recommendation of about 1 meter or 3.3ft away for 55inch tv. did you follow this?

my experience with DESA has been good over the years.

2 occasions, i was pleased what they did.

not always the best price, but they do a great job post sale, incl warranty issues.

They will install if u pay them . That's why I go to their shop to negotiate free installation before I buy

From experience their Lazada price is jacked up, can get better price at their shop via their salesman.

Not sure if price jacked up but usually they will give u price similar to their lazada price. Then if u really interested to buy u negotiate with them try to get lower and free installation
