here is a picture of my iFonz, with no background and bottom curtain (as it will be much faster and smoother) featuring higher resolution iFonz icons.

Sorry .. very nice customisation indeed. does it run smooth? it looks 'heavy' and might sip away the limited power of the KS20. but i believe yours is in pristine conditions. |

Mikey,
Yeap, it runs very smooth. U can check out my youtube video (click on my signature). So far, I think it has been very optimum, that's why I do not customize it anymore. On the other hand, I just don't have the time anymore. :S |

Try it, and I'll love it? hahaha.. we've all tried before. When I got my KS20 last year August, I literally spent about 3 to 4 hours a day (even after work) just to fiddle with it for a continous of 5 to 6 months before I get what I get today, dude..

if u install n uninstall a lot, get sktool to clean up all the leftover. recomended advanced config also for performance management.

well, owned this toy for a few months & not regretting it. i personally thinks this phone is a good entry lvl for winmo. if u want something that plays gud mp3 or take photo, get a mp3 player or digital cam. :') or if u want a faster device, scrape ur pocket for touch hd or omnia at least(i'm poorboy :') ). tho, i bet the crashes of software is still possible. i've installed spb shell 3, sktools, advanced config, tcpmp, skyfire, thumcal, vito sms-chat, resco explorer & nitrogen on a stock rom. works like a charm for me. with occasional hard reset (if needed) or soft reset. my 2cents, know ur toys well. it helps. (as for me, i'm still looking ways to optimise this baby) by the way all the above downloading & installing not used by any pc help. yes, direct download to this baby. *cheers*

if u hv proper tuning, KS20 can be fast too for any added applications. as mentioned, just make sure the registry isn't full with rubbish, then it will be more stable.
believe it or not, eventho I hv a lot of apps running on my KS20, and since 1 year of ownership, I have not done any hard reset before. |

wow. no hard reset ever? as i've done it couple of time. it makes me able to start from scratch back whenever sumthing happen. as i dun dare to fiddle with registry. too risky for a noob like me. installed htc diamond mp3 trimmer, very useful to edit mp3 to make ringtone. as it downsizes the file & start from where i wanted (eg, chorus only) :')

After a hard reset and you have installed all your applications, it is always a good idea to backup the whole device using Sprite Backup. If you need to hard reset again, just restore and it will only take about 5 to 10 mins and you have all data and applications resorted. Only one caveat, backup when your device is working without problem or else your problem will reappear once the device is resorted.

List your wireless configuration settings. I believe your problem lies there.

If you are going to flash, make sure you backup NetworkProfiles folder located at /Windows. If you don't you will only have European Telcos to select from as your telco provider. Flash from a Windows XP or 2000 computer. You can then use a 8GB SD card:)
