YES. Set everything from Default to Advised and you will have the optimum setting for your device. Fast, smooth and hopefully "hang" free

Hanging is mainly caused by third party program. If you configure WiFi from "b" to "g" it will minimize hanging while surfing the net. KS20 original firmware is stable. I DON'T works for LG or any its associates
SAFE JOURNEY. Better be late than never. |

QUOTE(shinnyx @ Jan 25 2009, 02:04 AM) so just don't use any extra appearance programs. I agree with your observations. for me, in order to run ks20 with fast and smooth, i use spb mobile shell only. (which running on my ks20 smooth and stable) ks20 not as fast as other devices such as omnia or touch hd, too much of running programs will slow down the device nad cause instability. on the other hand, some 3rd party programs such as s2u2 and ifonz are not stable on ks20. so try to avoid in order to maintain the speed and stability. |

QUOTE(uan @ Feb 20 2009, 10:17 PM) Sorry to disappoint you. Microsoft will not release WM6.5 for upgrade. It is meant for new phone only. LG is not even upgrading its present WM6.0 ROM so there no hope even for WM6.1Added on February 20, 2009, 11:48 pm QUOTE(stutzedward @ Feb 20 2009, 08:03 PM) Yes, I am getting the iPhone but my friend hasn't deliver to me yet. Prolly in March. Anyhow, if I ever get hold of it, I will hack it like the way I do to my KS20. Ed,I think you are going to have a hard time hacking the iphone like the way you are hacking a WM phone. Not many 3rd party hacks available, mainly applications. Best of luck anyway. If you are using Maxis you can update the latest MMS configuration via internet, if Auto Profile does not solve your problem. At Maxis site goto Phone Configuration. You need to input your phone no at your PC. Maxis will then send a code to your hand phone which you need to input at your PC to authenticate. Once done, Maxis will send the MMS configuration to you to activate your MMS.
Enjoy! |

Internet and MMS settings are telco specific. Need to obtain settings from your Telco. AT&T? Are you roaming here?

QUOTE(mikehwy @ Mar 24 2009, 12:15 AM) yes, you can surf the net with wifi via Opera Mini. it is very fast and simpler than explorer. Sorry for late reply. Have been traveling. You WILL NOT be able to connect your KS20 to Maxis USB Modem. I wasn't using wifi while driving, it was thru the 3G connection. I am also using the Maxis USB modem but only for my notebook. For DrWho: - i remember you said that you were using wifi while driving? were you using the KS20? i am getting a maxis usb modem soon. can i use the usb modem with my KS20? if yes, it is really a good news. thanks thanks thanks. If you have not bought your USB modem yet, you may want to try subscribing to Maxis unlimited data plan and use your KS20 as a modem for your laptop. This way you can use both the devices via 3G to surf the net. |

QUOTE(mikehwy @ Mar 28 2009, 10:17 PM) Dear DrWho, If you have good access to wifi, you can always use your KS20 as a modem for your laptop. Your laptop will most probably have wifi anyway, making it unnecessary. If you desperately need internet access for your laptop where there is no wifi available, you can always use your KS20 as a modem via 3G.my environment is 'full of wifi'. my home, office and common sites all have wifi. so i dont plan to subscribe for the full unlimited service as most of the time the service would be redundant to me. i only plan to trry out the gadget and the services only. hence i plan to do the daily or weekly subscription. so, the 3G sim is not too good right? i guess i shd get a usb modem so that i can subscribe to the daily usage. i am the stingy bugger right...haha? whats your suggestion? am i on the right path? i got no slightest idea of the USB modem and 3G sim. also, i have just dopwnloaded the NEW Skype for Windows Mobile and it would be GREAT if Skype works in our KS20!!!! Added on March 28, 2009, 10:20 pmthe best way is to bring to the service centre as it is the touch mechanism problem. good luck ya. I ONLY find USB modem useful when traveling. |

QUOTE(omgitshanz @ Apr 1 2009, 01:51 AM) I NEED URGENT HELP Do you know how to uninstall a program? You cannot delete it from the folder. Goto to Settings>Systems>Remove Program to uninstall the program.i guess i had done a wrong setting, my LG KS20 suddenly can't call out nor sending msg, but i can receive call and receive msg. i can see stable signal too. so it's not receiver and simcard problem. can anyone let me know what setting i should have change? Added on April 1, 2009, 2:43 amI uninstalled CE Star and reinstall ZTA4, but i only can see the square boxes. what should i do? and how to erase the CE Star file in my hp? i wanna use ActiveSync to delete but i couldn't get where it was kept!! If all fails, try Soft Reset first and if this does not work Hard Reset. Make sure you backup your data before the Hard Reset. You can get a free PIM backup program from: http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=1806 Restore the data after the Hard Reset and reinstall all the programs. uan made a point, have you paid your bill! |

QUOTE(stutzedward @ Apr 2 2009, 07:28 AM) Hi Mikey, Ed,Good Morning yeah. Well, I have not much problem using the iPhone actually because the UI feels 'at home' for me. Mainly because I've been adapting pretty much to my KS20 cos as you know, the customization since day one on my KS20 is towards iPhone UI. So using the real iPhone or my KS20 ala-iPhone UI, is very similar at some point. Of cos, the real iPhone is smoother in terms of animation. In fact, the ThumbCal I have in my KS20 has much better functionality compared to iPhone's calendar. Congratulations on your new purchase! You are going to miss the many ready made WM applications available freely. |
