Your contact will be saved in your PC when you sync PROVIDED you have configured what you want to sync at the device. At device goto Active Sync>Menu>Options and choose what you wish to sync.
If you backup with Sprite Backup or Spb Backup you can also choose what you wish to backup. Do not backup system if your device is not working properly. Do the system backup after Hard Reset or ROM flashing with contacts restored. WM 6.1 ROM flashing details PM to you |

QUOTE(lteo @ Dec 18 2008, 10:08 AM) what is the advantage of WM6.1 as compare to the stock WM6 on KS20 ? It can read SDHC, which means you are not limited to 2GB of Storage Card. I am currently using a 8GB SDHCMight consider if there is significant improvement Comes with Threaded SMS Comes with Task Manager, which allows you to close programs not just minimize. Minimizing too many programs is known to cause the device to hang. Comes with NETCF 3.5 |

I do not know whether it is possible to roll back to 6.0 once flashed to WM6.1. This is a cooked ROM, warranty will be void once you flash.
Flashing details PM to you |

Question: I'm having problem connecting LG KS-20 using Microsoft ActiveSync. My computer which uses Window XP cannot recognise the device. Can you help?
Active Sync works on Windows XP. Try installing NET Compact Framework 2.0 at your PC first. Get the update from Microsoft here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=en |

QUOTE(mikehwy @ Dec 20 2008, 04:33 PM) Dear Ed, so far me KS20 works fine. Except: - 1. after sync with the pc, i now see double contacts for each name. but the names are in the right order, so happy. One name is from SIM card the other from phone. You have to disable showing contacts from SIM card 2. MMS is gone and i am now trying to get it back working ...... but how le???? called maxis and they dont seem to have such set up as yet. You can get MMS settings from Maxis via internet request and Maxis will send the MMS settings to your phone |

QUOTE(mikehwy @ Dec 20 2008, 05:54 PM) You can either edit you Registry or use the free Advanced Configuration program to do it. For Advanced Config goto Phone to disable Show SIM Contacts Download cab version 3.2 from here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?p...=AdvancedConfig This is one of the best freeware for PPC. As useful as SKTools |

Click DOWNLOAD which is about 4 inches from the top. Blue bar

Did you successfully patched the use of SDHC card. After I patched the device was able to recognise my 8GB SDHC card and allowed me to install programs and store data. After a while however the device refused to recognise the SDHC card and only allow data to be stored BUT not programs which renders the storage card to be almost useless. New SDHC card did not help either. Because the device has limited storage capacity for programs to be installed and the SDHC card would not allow me to install programs I had to hard reset. I hope your patch will work. I tried two type of patches, XDA and 777.cab, both gave me problems.

QUOTE(mikehwy @ Dec 24 2008, 08:37 AM) DrWho, No venture no gain. If it is not better the cooked ROM would not have been created to void warranty.Good Morning from Malaysia !!!! agree agree, it is rather simple, with the links showing screenshots and detailed steps in flashing. the quetion remains - 1. do we need to flash it and will it be 'much' better as claimed by the lyn seller? 2. are we willing to forgo the zitron warranty and also whhich means that the resale value would e much lower without the warranty? i am hesitating ..... thanks. |
