Dr Mahathir, 85, underwent coronary bypass surgery at the Kuala Lumpur General Hospital in January 1989 and a second such operation at the National Heart Institute in September 2007.

sweat.gif  the doctors in gov hospital are normally quite busy so the turnaround time for them to get back to you on paperwork will be longer than usual.

Guess you'll have to wait for them.
*
I'm not going to waste the government doctors time to verify and sign each of the receipt... the claim is juz 30+ random receipt a lot of them juz RM4.50 or so... or RM55 for chemo

government hospital is already overwhelm and understaffed... everyday hundreds of patients waiting them for treatment... going to give up the claim

hoped that the money they save can help fund the Allianz management to use it themself to masuk hospital or buy medication for their critical illness.

very high chance the staff themself will fail their insurance claim from their own company...

Insurance all scam when trying to get their payout...

my mum cancer treatment at government hospital, Allianz required the DOCTOR signature for each official GOVERNMENT receipt as proof...

and the claim for each of the receipt is like below RM5 for day care ward and few around RM50 for chemo, the total less than RM300... from OCT 2020 until now still drag payout and send reminder to request for official government doctor signature for each receipt to be process...

going to cancel all my Insurance soon...

All medical history now under 1 system.
During purchase GE also “knowingly” accept it.
Her second policy even has stronger case.

do you have any idea if there are other insurance companies in Malaysia also required doctor's signature on each receipts from Govt hospitals as per experienced by the forummer?

"HKL and Selayang hospital

They request for verify and doctor signature for each of the receipt...

The receipt even have the chemo drug name printed on it... And they still request to verify the doctor endorsement for the treatment..."

hmm.gif
i cannot speak for all,...but i think this could be "exemptional" case from Allianz....
feel so BAD for it to happens to anyone....
hmm.gif wondering why it happened??
*
For your wondering of "why this happens" .....
This just came to my mind, may not be the same situation of that forummer,....
Since it was mentioned, cash payment,... Can it be due to no name of patient and the purpose or details of treatment were stated in the receipts,...
Heard tales, that some hospital items cannot be claimed or subjected to heavy scrutiny when the itemised bill are submitted... Especially from private hospitals.
Never hv the opportunity to go to govt hospital for treatment to hv the receipt to view the content in those receipts.. Thus unable to confirm..
Just guessing

it's official receipt from government hospital at "KLINIK RAWATAN HARIAN ONKOLOGI KOMPLEKS PAKAR"
i'm quite sure my mother is not going get any plastic surgery or lipo suction at that department...

lets be fair, i been paying the Allianz insurance for decades for relieve and peace of mind...
what i get now is mind boggling and stress when trying to claim from them...

the amount is total around RM300 range for half year treatment and going there weekly...
they stated need official signature "doctor endorsement" or "treatment breakdown" for each of the receipt that cost at around RM4+ or RM50+(chemo drug)... ranting.gif

Allianz want me to ask government hospital on doctor endorsement and treatment breakdown for
weekly blood test, half day usage of hospital bed, bedding cleaning service, IV drips, chemo drug, medication, nurse, doctor...

seriously "MEMALUKAN" "DISGRACE" if Allianz claim dept want me to go waste government hospital staff time to verify...

imagine this...
Hi, please give me a detail treatment breakdown the RM4 receipt at your oncology dayward doh.gif

If the "KLINIK RAWATAN HARIAN ONKOLOGI KOMPLEKS PAKAR" receipt come with your mother's name on the receipt, this is seriously wrong on Allxxxz part...
Frankly the Rm300 claim is a very small amount in claim.

Insurance co should be very used to seeing much larger claim coming from private hospitals..

I believe all these docs needs the complete information before they can issue a payout as they need the document for audit purposes.

i.e if you receive an MC/receipt from a Clinic, they would stamp on the receipt with the date etc (some may try to falsify the receipt/MC) and also for the HR to verify that it's original and it's not fake.

That being said, I didn't encounter much problems with private hospitals on this matter. (Follow-up claims / Pre & Post hospitalization / Day surgery)

and yes, they probably need a breakdown on the treatment to ensure that within the bill, there are no claims made on things that are not covered within your policy benefit.

they have to deduct more money from RM4?... notworthy.gif

when Allianz raise my insurance policy extra RM300 - RM500... I DUN SEE THEY BREAKDOWN, WHY AND HOW THEY RAISE IT ranting.gif

and chase me payment when overdue less than 1 MONTH...

when i trying to claim, they drag my claim payout until now for HALF A YEAR since OCT 2020 because they need breakdown and doc endorsement for "total around RM300 for half a of year GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL treatment"...

can justify the stress? when i buy policy, everything can... when i claim everything canNOT

If your mum was hospitalised in government hospital, I believe your policy also pays daily allowance x No. of days in hospital. Yes?

I would be very willing to fully sponsor the person in charge of the allianz claim dept to undergo the same cancer drugs, so that he or she can verify the chemo drug is really used for cancer treatment...

I know private will refer to govenment hospital. that means your mom cancer consider complicated case?

anyway have u tried to contact OFS and BNM to get their advise?
kinda weird why chemo and drugs claims also take 6 months to disburse? I can understand if 1st time issue drugs may need justification from dr but repeated drugs shouldnt need, unless change drugs.

Thats why i never believe in insurance. When you claim u need to be beg like a beggar. Ask this ask that as if you are out to scam them money.

When my father got colon cancer 8 years ago, our siblings just share the cost and get the best treatment from private hospital. He has recovered well and healthy till now. No stress whatsoever from insurance companies.

very complicated~

because of old age, 6 cycles, 1 cycle = 3 weeks and 1 week rest. 6 cycles = 6 mth.

same drugs and same day ward...

Pay chemo drug for 1 cycle RM50+ and weekly day ward is RM4

my parking and petrol also cost more than the medical claim... doh.gif
