Do not buy insurance. You are enriching the agent
*
currently researching insurance for myself as a medical professional :
The most important thing is Medical card. Why? Medical procedures increase by 10-15% a year. for example a COROS in private costs 25k cheapest, in around 20 to 30 years when u might need it with compounding inflation would cost 1 million. If you have a family might want to add on some death benefit otherwise just cover death for 5 or 10k and get a beast medical card rider. forget about term medical cards, annual limit will be obsolete when you're older.
But u might say, well govt hosp can do right? Put it this way, GDP of Malaysia grows by 4-5% a year, which is far from the cost medical procedures inflate by, so procedures you are left with in govt might be older ones and not the latest ones offered in private. If you're ok with them then fine but medical tech advances really fast and procedures are getting way more comfortable over time. Don't forget your caretaker, like my mother had to suffer in a ward with horrible messy toilets when looking after Dad, even clean other patients crap off the floor so my dad wont step in it...thats love so don't put ur caretaker thru that.
Get a beast medical card and also waiver on premium when u get any TPD, and *IMPORTANT* make sure ur policy is sustainable with 5% market returns until the age you want (stated in the illustration the agent will give you) and choose ur insurance investment linked fund that will roughly give that, the remaining money you save put into good investments so that will be your families death benefit when you die. Peace..hope it helps

To be honest. The best healthcare is not Private hospital But rather government hospital. Even Tun Dr Mahathir He himself So rich and a doctor going to HKL

Can not compare, Dr M is a VVIP, all first class treatment and care in govt hospital. The best healthcare maybe govt hospital, however private hospitals availability is a good alternative.

This happen to me before. I was given seven months appointment just to see a cardiologist at Serdang hospital. I can't wait as already having chest pain. In end went to UMSC. Doctor found arteries blockages did angioplasty op. The first op within two weeks time. All paid by insurance (prudential). I am not saying govt hospital no good but prepare for long waiting list.

I recommend to get a medical insurance for just in case situation.

They would look at your condition. You Can be admitted to ED. How often you see GH being sued for emergency patient? They will usually look at Your case. In fact, elder people they will treat them more cautiously.

ED will only stabilise your symptoms. the treatment will still be handled by medical/surgical team.

Interesting what you posted. Basically saying insurance might lose money if regulations prevented corrected pricing .. which makes sense

from this field, both medical and motor insurance are losing money business as claims > premiums collected
motor insurance is subsidised by fire insurance
and medical is being subsidised by life & accident insurance

Insurance all scam when trying to get their payout...

my mum cancer treatment at government hospital, Allianz required the DOCTOR signature for each official GOVERNMENT receipt as proof...

and the claim for each of the receipt is like below RM5 for day care ward and few around RM50 for chemo, the total less than RM300... from OCT 2020 until now still drag payout and send reminder to request for official government doctor signature for each receipt to be process...

going to cancel all my Insurance soon...

HKL and Selayang hospital

They request for verify and doctor signature for each of the receipt...

The receipt even have the chemo drug name printed on it... And they still request to verify the doctor endorsement for the treatment...

I would be very willing to fully sponsor the person in charge of the allianz claim dept to undergo the same cancer drugs, so that he or she can verify the chemo drug is really used for cancer treatment...

sweat.gif the doctors in gov hospital are normally quite busy so the turnaround time for them to get back to you on paperwork will be longer than usual.

Guess you'll have to wait for them.
